I am trying to track scores and start another power ranking system. Note that I include the divisions in this. Since it is a really simple +/- system using scores and yards to rank teams, I summed the team totals in the divisions and treated the division as another team. These games aren`t weighted for recent scores, like other power ratings tend to be. I don`t want to reveal my formula, and you probably don`t care. Some interesting numbers are that for every negative point on the redskins, there is a positive point on the Colts. Also, the raiders and chargers are equally distant from the mean.
DY`s Power Rankings:

To compare to ESPN`s most recent power rankings:
They have both chiefs and colts above broncos. The next big difference is the Panthers. They have them as 18 - right in the middle does make sense for a 3-3 team. However, they are a top-half offense with an average D, with good pass and run games. They may just be a relic of the formula.
I also have the Rams 10 positions higher. This is because I don`t weigh in on Quarterback losses.
I have the Raiders victory calculated in, which is probably why they are higher.
Looking at the bottom, it becomes clear that the method breaks down for teams that don`t score high. I will keep tweaking.
Other than the fact that you have the Panthers a bit too high, your rankings are agreeable.
I've been following ESPN's rankings for most of the season and I'm embarrassed to be in the same species as whoever writes it. They enable "overreaction Monday" as much as possible.
A team lost? Move them down 30 places. A Kansas City team that has beaten one top 15 QB all year? Greatest team ever. It's disgusting.
I can't wait until the Broncos shit on KCs face in three weeks. I also can't wait to eat crow when the Broncos lose because I'm guaranteeing a win.
I want KC to win that game, just because I like the idea of teams going 16-0. I`d rather if the Broncos waited to the playoffs to shit all over their face.

11-2 this week (should really have been 12-1, but I just can't seem to pick the 49ers). 50/50 on my commentary. 57-31 overall.

LOL... Jaguars are winless! San Francisco is easily NFL Top 10 and
Detroit, Oakland and probably Seattle all should have lost this week
as they were very 'fortunate' to eek out wins.

He is a 23 year old Rookie, what are you expecting from him?
ESPN did just jump Carolina 6 places. One more week like that and we will have them at the same place.
My picks next week:
Chiefs road at -3
Rams home at +3
Colts road at -1
Ravens road at -1
I saw enough promise in the rams on monday to take them as dogs. Not too much room to breathe, but enough.
Houston shouldn`t give the Colts any problems.
Got the browns last week against KC at 7.5. I lucked out there. Ravens have struggled but not that much.
Chiefs are going to crush buffalo.
CIN ... Bengals have been more consistant even on the road & show some D
CAR ... Falcons have been wallowing in mediocrity DAL... Cowboys are entertaining everyone but their fans
NO ... Brees plays for the Saints, have the Lets found a QB yet?
TEN ... starts a 3 game win streak in St.Louis
KC ...even doses of offense & defense
SD ... thinking Rivers will flow
OAK ...Raiders on a win streak? Home field and a QB are a plus
SEA . . I expect the Bucs to win one eventually, but not this week
BAL ...tough choice here, both have 3 wins & Campbell was good last week vs the Chiefs PIT ... My upset pick of the weekend in the afterglow of Red Sox bliss
IND . . . Texan fans will be wearing bags in the stands soon
GB . . . Rodgers has his mojo working & dunno who starts at QB for the Bears
Trick or Treat? Bengals give away four turnovers,
a 50 yard drive in the final minute for Miami to force
Overtime and Dalton is sacked for safety to end it??? REALLY ANDY???

I mean it's a bang -bang play but in my mind there's no way he should've taken that sack. He had to have known the consequences if he got tackled. He should've at the very least dove forward and saved a yard that would've saved the game for the moment.
