Average of my clan is 28, I'm a little bit older than that.

Colton said he/she/it was 21? I don't believe that for a second, I see her/him/neuter as a rather rotund 40+ on a mission to spread tolerance to the world one cheating and abuse post at a time.

Oh and Congrats for moving on to the next round in Tdan's Feudal Epic Tournament, that was a pretty classy win.(for once I'm not joking, must need more beer)

no seriously... I'm ten. What's wrong with that? CC is a place for all ages, no? Besides, why else would i spend so much time here? After school, do homework for half an hour, shower and play!

Those 3 80-year-olds should start their own clan, Something Smells Bad

I think we need an option of 3-12 years old, as well

(I apologize if any of the people I listed fall into one of the age groups in the poll. I'm merely making a logical guess)
I really am not 12 i am actually 20. If you truly where making a logical guess you would know that I have posted my actually age many times before. I really have nothing to hid. I think that its sad you all think some one is that age based on there grammar. I have met people older then me and have worse grammar then me.

I'm only 4 years old.... Honestly, even you have the mental capacity to lie.

I said I was making a logical guess as to what age the person was based on their posts. Generally, if someone does not say anything very intelligent or say it in a way that displays any intelligence (using grammar, spelling, etc), I don't assume that they are capable to do so.

And, I prefer to think of the person as a 10 year old than to think of him as older, but a moron with the intelligence of a 10 year old. If you insist on being thought of as the later, I'm sorry, it's rather hard for me to switch my view after so long a time, but I will make an effort.
I really have nothing to hid.
hide... I think I learned that word in second grade (keep in mind this was in a country, school, family, where no one actually spoke English).
I think that its sad you all think some one is that age based on there grammar. I have met people older then me and have worse grammar then me.
I feel sorry for you. You must hang around with morons (or people that are smart, but had horrible parents that decided they shouldn't get an education)

Well colour me shocked  !!

I turn 50 in 2 weeks and have been playing this game for 34+ years, longer than the majority of the players today. :o

I had always assumed most were contemporaries, who like me had played the board game and were delighted to have found an online version.

I'm playing with a bunch of whippersnappers, though I'll grant you, some of you play very well ;)

What about Mr Changsha or King Herpes, are these not the wizined old sage's I had envisioned with long grey beards and bespectables, dispensing wit and advice with such valour? Charlatans, I pray not. I await to be enlightened on that.

When I was younger and worked as a waiter, we would get together around midnight, set up the board and have a game that would sometimes go till dawn.
It was the music that made it so memorable because someone had a two record set of the soundtrack to "Star Wars". There was nothing like it for going into battle while the music grew in intensity and reach a crescendo as the dice would leave your hand. It even made roll 1. 1 .1 's less painless

Well I guess I'm the oldest to confess. I'd insert an emoticon here but their's no old man with a cane. Going to get a drink of geritol.

C.B.

Great post C.B and this not especially wizened old old sage can but hope you post more!

I've always been open about my age (well ever since we had the option) and there it sits on my profile: 28. However, as was pointed out above age is just a number; intelligence, wit and even wisdom can be found at pretty much any age. I've taught 18 year olds who have made me sit back and just think 'Wow!, this kid is wise beyond their years' and I've taught chaps in their thirties (I'm thinking of a banker I encountered recently) who genuinely made me wonder if I needed to get out the old cane and really beat some sense into him. So age is not all that important.

I would also point out that some of my favourite posters here are actually quite young...assuming they weren't lying about their age! I remember seeing Killing.44 was only 14 on his profile..I'd always assumed he had reached his maturity. Just up thread we have jleonnn saying he is but 10; well that is just fantastic, he writes wonderfully for his age and is without doubt a very smart young man indeed. Colton is supposed to about 12 and I just have to point out that all the accusations of multism are actually a huge compliment to him, it is the fact that (and I know take a deep breath here) he actually writes quite well (both amusingly and intelligently at times) that has, in my view, encouraged all those C and A threads. Personally I believe he is a kid and I've noticed the quality of his writing improve a great deal since he began writing on here. GD shouldn't be a playground for children - as some of the threads, quite annoyingly for an old bugger like me, seem to be - but if I was their parent I would be quite pleased to see my kid spending his free time taxing his mind in-game or working on his writing in the forums. Better than drinking vodka in the park and chasing tail....which is what I was doing around their age. Of course we had no internet back then and TV was as shit then as it is now. Target (often, literally the target of many a wit's jibes) has, as I've said before, improved his writing greatly since posting here and should certainly continue to do so. I actually quite admire him. Forum strength is to a great extent based on the ability to express oneself through the written word, it takes balls to write here when you lack any natural ability to do so...as I'm sure he'd admit. As someone who is useless at a multitude of things I respect his guts to stick at it...I tend to just drop what I can't do brilliantly and am a fairly narrowly focused as a result.

As usual I am just rambling on but I suppose the point of this is to applaud kids that choose to spend their time on here. We should encourage them. Not in that preachy 'Ah, aren't you a clever little thing don't worry about the mistakes you're great as you are!" kind of way. That doesn't help anyone, least of all kids. We should continue to critique them when they are just being lazy or annoying. But they could be doing many worse things with their time than being on here and they should be cut some slack, as I myself try to do..hence you will never see me really attack any of then in the fora.
