Wha?!? I meant when the new ranks come out there will be a higher rank than General to strive for, and General won't seem that important. Kind of like a Colonel right now, there is about a hundred of them, so no big deal.

To me colonel still a rank I strive to be, in fact I strive to be a major, sadly I've been going on a 400 points loss streak in the last 2 weeks.

still, in one year...16 people have broken 3000 out of thousands...if people are striving for the top, and get there, I dont blame them for enjoying it

and...it will be exponentially harder to rise in rank the higher the points get

Yeah, but as more people get more points then it becomes relatively easier to gain points...especially if you play in elite, colonel or super elite games a lot.

I remember the first toime i hit colonel back in the summer I thought i would never ever get close again just playing singles, but then a few months later i was knocking on the door of general, mainly due to the fact there were 10 times as many colonels to win points off!

exactly. we talk about point inflation, but theres still the fact that the best ranked player as well as other high ranked players on this site have to constantly win to go up the points list.

You have never lost close to 50 points to a colonel. MAYBE just over 40, but seeing as you've only been just over 4000, I would guess you lose 40 and win 10 against each colonel in the most extreme cases. So if you played in a 6 player game you would win 50 or lose 40- Not great I know, but not as bad as you're making it out to be. :wink:

and his score is good enough he SHOULD be able to maintain his score with that ratio, for it to be technically accurate.
