i was never treated unfairly with my avatar. the only issue i ever felt unfairly treated involving an avatar was when a mod was too ignorant to realize that a black face avatar which used an image as a representative for racist renderings of blacks in textbooks, was deemed non-offensive and simply "art". as far as my old piss christ avatar, i was asked about it, i gave my response, my response was deemed sufficient for me to keep the avatar i had at the time. i removed it later to replace it with a classic "owen" avatar that DaGip made for me, and that was that. actually, both myself and DaGip had to remove those avatars because the avatar had the word f*ck scrawled across it. so, this isn't about my avatar from 2 years ago, it is about an avatar that has the word f*ck in it, a word that is not allowed in the forum by CC's own program, so it should not be allowed in an avatar. if she wants to drop an asterisk in it, that is fine... but if f*ck is deemed to not be offensive in an avatar, i can't wait to see the forum in the following weeks... maybe we can bring back all the porn chicks that used to dance in the GD as well!!!-the black jesus

His Avatar has swearing in it, blantant swearing that would be auto-filtered out in CC normally yet you will do nothing about it. Juan_Bottom says something and you are willing to bring down full powers of a mod on him.

Look I am not going to tell you what is right or wrong in this case, i am not the multi-hunter, but the decision you make here is going to influence the CC Community for a very long time with many consequences.

Agree completely. Cursing has never been outlawed in CC, so i dont see why we would punish one person for what so many people have and will continue to do. Do we all forget the days when "Hendy was a c*nt"? I don't think Owen is pissy about the "Piss Christ Avatar" exchange. He would be in the right however, to scrutinize other people's avi's because of it.

Now, I get the idea of a precedent being set by cc filtering the word f*ck in the forums. But the fora discussions aren't exactly the same thing as avi's, ya know? And porn isn't the same thing a a cuss. CC is either entirely vague with it's rules, or has them locked down air-tight. I'd need to see a real rule written before I could side against the fucking avi. Maybe this is the conversation to make that happen.
