Well obviously I'd like to be involved with mafia but I'm not giving up this area...SIB has been my forum home on CC for over 4 years. Ya ain't getting rid of me that easily plus mafia specific there are people here I would recommend for the mod spots well before myself but I'm not going to get into that right now.

It's a little early to be voting for mods don't you think? Most likely we will stick with our current forum until we are able to justify a larger one. Until this forum gets so disorganized that we need a more efficient one, chances are we will stay in our current situation.

And mods for this forum would be great.

Why? Really, the only thing the mod would be doing is moving threads around (assuming we get a more organized and elaborate forum). It's not like we need multiple mods to stop flaming and such. Hell, if one of the general mods just wanted to stop by once a day or so he could probably take care of it. A mod of our own would be a convenient luxury only. Personally, I would rather push for a more organized forum than our own mod.

The only reason I wanted medals for my game was because of its size and the prizes I was already offering. I agree that offering medals would definitely bring unwanted, unmotivated players to our games, but maybe once in a while offering them for a very large game would not be so bad (like once a year).

I think being a mafia mod would be horrible. Does the message "this post has been edited" also show up if a mod edits someone else's post? If not, the mod would be unable to play any games, thus his job would be to stalk every game and be bored. Kinda sucks.

We already have a bunch of mods playing in mafia games atm without any problems so I don't see why there would be any problems.

I have an idea for Mafia (IMO, pretty good one) with interesting characters (I think they're sort-off balanced ), but since there are so many up at this time, perhaps I should wait?

It's still being discussed some. Andy wants us to think of ways to promote it. Some ideas have been tossed around but don't know if or when it might happen at this point.

I seem to recall a push for mods for this forum in the past. LSU and Nag were having serious discussions with Andy about the possibility. IIRC, the concern mainly had to do with posing at night. Needless to say nothing ever came of it.

Okay. Just keep us posted Here are some ideas to help promote it:

-Post an announcement about it and maybe provide a linked sig for people to wear to advertise (you could make it a contest to see who can make the best sig, Idk)
-I would totally write a Dispatch article on it.
