Oh, I will tell you. They are afraid, you see. Afraid that they might lose control, that they might no longer be in power, that the truth about them may become known. They need to distract people from it, but not just any distraction, noooo, it must be the biggest distraction in the history of the world.

They will be safe of course, in their underground bunkers and hidden strongholds. As long as they are in power they don't care what the earth they rule over looks like.

Victor must be working for them. Such a blatantly silly excuse for trying to get me killed, "this town ain't big enough". What is he? A walking cliché from a Western? This isn't even a town! It's a place where they lock away those who pose a danger to them and their schemes. They call us insane to discredit us, insane!
