You might (or might not) be surprised by this, MeDeFe, but the first time I ever had
corn on pizza was in Germany. Specifically in Landstuhl (admittedly pretty Americanized).
It really is very good.

I was rather referring to the fact that "corn" means something other in the USA than it does throughout pretty much the entire rest of the world.

Huh...I totally did not know that (I just looked at john9blue's link). I am referring to maize, then. It seems very weird to me that you guys call general cereal crops "corn". I'm surprised I never picked up on that while I was over there, although I suppose it was simply a matter of "talking past" whoever I was speaking with where I was meaning maize and they were meaning cereal crops and neither of us really noticed.

It also turns out that the color you think is red is actually purple to the rest of us.

Humorously, I am shade blind. I joined the Air Force to be an electrician. Then they tested my eyesight and decided that might be a problem. Stupid circles.

Isn't corn like one of the only crops that was actually native to the Americas?

about half of the things we eat were.
Corn, tomatooes, potatoes, chili, for example. I could live without corn, but not the others.
Also of course, cocain, tobacco and marihuana

that's because the post that you quoted was an example of a non-sequitur
