I'm concerned about CYOC was a blast last time but balance was pretty fucked. Any chance you would consider taking a little bit of a hand and perhaps reroll alignment/modify roles if balance is too terrible. (recalling the black knight here)

Yeah, I see what you saw now. You're just as capable as I am, I meant just not leaving the alignments totally to chance.

Leave alignments random. Tweak the powers.

You can only tweak powers so much before you lose the character. Same with alignment but you can stretch that a lot further.

You needn't necessarily determine alignment on the character description. Very good-hearted people can do very evil things if they are convinced they are right. Maybe a pious priest is on a misguided zealous crusade, or the corrupted former member of Special Forces is determined to fight his former employer because they are the evildoers in his eyes, making him Town. Theoretically we can have a game with all Town players being mafia members accordig to the flavour, hunting down a group of spies. My signature pretty much says it all.

As I didn't play in the previous CYOC, I don't know what balance problems were there, but I don't see the fuss.

Well, not a role per se, but I know who the character could or could not be (since it had to have been someone signed up before me).
