The New Testament was written in Greek, the Old Testament in Hebrew (except for Daniel Chapters 2-9 which were written in Aramaic)

I guess the fact that you deadbeat constantly has nothing to do with your ire. No - I'm not talking about the mountain in France either. What am I saying anyway - you're a french-canadian.

Let's see how poorly google can translate this:

Je devine le fait que vous exploiteur n'a constamment rien à faire avec votre colère. NO- je ne parle pas de la montagne en France l'un ou l'autre. Ce qui suis moi disant de toute façon - vous êtes un français-canadien de toute façon.

And NONONO - My comment about him being french-canadian had more to do with him not knowing about the mountain in France - not saying he's inferior.

Then the whole thing was badly translated and edited to fit the requirements of the Roman Catholic church in Rome - not the most historically accurate book of all time :)

True, the vulgate (Latin Bible) was not the best translation, but modern day English (and other modern language) bibles are translated from original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts... so as far as translation goes you can be fairly satisfied with accuracy. :)

I'm pretty sure that God didn't write about himself. Also sure that the guys that did write the original bible about god and jesus and some other stuff that it wasn't written in english, more like hebrew or latin or some shit.

The old testament was written in largely in hebrew (the pentatuech, i.e. 5 books of Moses, aka Gensis Exodus Leviticus Dueteronomy and numbers) as well as the histories (i.e. samuel I samuel II Kings I and II chronicles i and ii judges ect) some prophets as well (dont ask me which)

the rest of the old testament was written in Aramaic as well as the catholic apocrapha such as Macabees

the new testament was written in Aramaic and Greek, gospels originally in aramaic except Matthew which was probably written in hebrew and most of the letters and epistles in Greek

Now the Old testament was translated first into greek called the septugaunt and then later into latin. heres an interesting note on the problems of translations :

the name Jesus who people refer to as Christ is actually Yeshua in hebrew now in the old testament we translate this as Joshua which is correct however in the new Testament the transition was from aramaic to latin directly as opposed to aramaic to greek to latin in the old testament

the problem arises because there is no letter J in ancient latin the letter g or i was used instead depending on sound and context so the name was transcibed from Yeshua to iesus and eventually mutated into Jesus so we actually call Jesus by the wrong name since his name properly transcibed is Joshua( there is also some typology in play here as Joshua was the name of the man who conquered canaan, also the name of the priest who rebuilt the temple after the first dispersion and many other significant events all meant to foreshadow the coming of JOSHUA not JESUS ) so when you pray tonight try and get his name right he might appreciate it lol

:D
