long story short... he is a multi... he won't say what his other account is and he knew the rules before he came back... he could have contacted the admins to have his old account restored for his use, but he chose to break the first rule of cc... oddly enough, the advantage you gain with your low rank and knowledge is immense... people can look at my profile and see the range of ranks i fluctuate about, with zeus, there is no telling what rank he currently held, etc... this is cheating, this is gaining points unfairly... and his denial in the chat clearly shows that he knows his actions are indeed not condoned by CC and that they are viewed as a major infraction... it is just so odd that he will not state what his former username is, what is he hiding? if he were previously banned, he could have requested his case reviewed and had it restored as many have done recently, thanks to BW being rational... the black jesus does not condone multis, the black jesus is saddened by this and he hopes that zeus may continue on with his old account (after buying back in, for this major infraction)... i also hope he will state what his prior account was... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

I don't think it's anyone's business but the MH and admins what his prior account was. It's likely it will be returned to him and this one discontinued. (I am pretty sure that he has already disclosed that info in PM to the powers that be.) Especially in a case where it is found that he is telling the truth about not having access to it in a long long time. I know as much as you do on that one, Owen, but willing to give people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. If someone is simultaneously playing two accounts, then they deserve to be publicly named and shamed. If there is a perfectly genuine explanation for why they returned to CC and opened a new one and their story checks out, then I believe in discretion. That's why reasonable people are chosen to be multi-hunters, and you are not one, Owen. No offense.

He's told me what his other account was. It hasn't been used since 2013. The last rank for that account was Captain.

that is exactly the point i was making... and now, did he have any major infractions or rule violations? all this stuff matters... i'm glad someone gets it...

but i am being reasonable. he broke the first rule of the site. you need to know what his past rank was, what his offenses/infractions were, etc... i believe i am pretty well versed in the rules of the site and how a lot of this works... if i weren't, i'd have been gone a long time ago when the owen-witch hunt was going on (miss you Andy!!)... ask any of the older mods, i am generally correct and i have very few complaints and those are generally spot on and valid. sorry, i just don't see how you can defend someone for breaking the first rule of the site... he could have contacted an admin straight away and chose not to do so, wonder why? had he joined and sent a message right away to clear it up, i'd cut him some slack. but he didn't. he chose to play 26 games before saying anything, BECAUSE HE GOT CAUGHT!! so, sorry i'm not rational enough to be a mod... but again, i'm spot on correct on this one... this guy knowingly broke the rules and was enjoying his "secret advantage"...-Jésus noir

My opinion in this case is that mods need to re instate his old account with his premium. No need to punish someone who eventually told the truth. I would have never reported him if he had told me who his old account was to be honest. Was actually a really good player so i hope he sticks around.

this guy seems to be in the same situation as me used to play left for whatever the reason and decided to come back after years obviously we cant/wont remember the info for the old account so make a new one think of it this way do you remember the info for you myspace account i know i shure the heck dont.

The difference here is that zeus2012 actually did know his old information, yet chose to create a new account and then tried to act as if he was new.

Given that we've had a couple of incidents of this within a few days, perhaps the home page needs to have a more obvious link for returning players who can't remember or access their previous account details.

Im not sure when it was removed, but it used to have this when you made an account. I cant imagine there was a logical reason to remove it, but Im sure there is.

What it needs, though, is a link to "Had a previous account but can't remember details?" that would raise a ticket automatically.

I agree, it needs to be friendlier. Clangfield is right, having a link there to help returning users retrieve their old usernames is really needed.

I totally agree with Shannon Apple, let the mods do there thing, if this is not harassment, it's definitely flaming the guy. There is a new topic in the forum about New Rules Committee to upgrade/fix the rules, As I see it there two types of multis, those who started over with a new account and those trying to manipulate the scoring system. The multi rule needs to be modernized, so that the player coming back to CC doesn't get crucified for starting over.

It is sorta flaming because Owen, it's none of your business unless you have further evidence. C&A is meant for sorting out cases and giving users a chance to respond with evidence, if any. It's not for posting opinion pieces and witch-hunting. Your whining and being a dick in this thread (without adding any evidence) won't influence the admins' final decision on what happens with his account. The only thing that will influence that is what they find. Like, if you have further evidence, by all means post it. Not that there is any further evidence, he admitted to having an old account. BUT, if you are going to continually post comments that do nothing but harass the user, then you are in-fact flaming.

Basically, what you're doing is spamming. It is not necessary for you to respond to every C&A case, especially when you add nothing valuable to the discussion.

Actually, I am not voicing ANY opinion regarding the user in question, or his offenses. I haven't said that he is guilty and should be banned, or that he is innocent. I have said that it needs to be left up to the people who do make these decisions. Some people here want him banned without knowing his full story. I don't even know that, hence why I am annoyed that people are jumping all over it.

Your attitude is very mature, especially the other thread that you made. Nice way of making someone else's case about you. You know anything I say holds as much weight as anything you say, right? I am a low level access volunteer.

Since he bought premium for this account, I am hoping to resolve this just to be fair to him instead of outright busting him. Since he has not returned and deadbeated on his games, i will only note this report to keep it in record until or if he returns.

I am also locking this to avoid further heated arguments from some of you.

We do take some reports on a case by case basis and we are open in giving people 2nd chances to correct their mistakes.
