Bear in mind that if you are just thinking about the "maps" themselves that a number of maps were completely redrawn on several occasions due to a number of reasons. I know that both Classic and Canada were replaced with better graphics at one point.Dukasaur wrote:This is the kind of question you can look up on the Map Statistics page.xroads wrote:I know classic was obviously #1, but what were the next 9?

Sometimes the actual territories are changed as well. Far East has one less territory than Asia did and Classic has one less border than Classic did.tzor wrote:Bear in mind that if you are just thinking about the "maps" themselves that a number of maps were completely redrawn on several occasions due to a number of reasons. Sounds about right. Was fun in the early days, any win put you in the top 10.xroads wrote:So Jan 2, 2006 the site went live?
The only thing they changed about classic was the region names, trying not to be sued.oaktown wrote:It should be noted that half of those first ten maps - including Classic - have been redone since their release date and resemble the originals in gameplay only.
that is absolutely false. you can't even SEE the old classic map on the site/create game!!! what are you even talking about?!! even the archived games of the first matches have had the original classic map replaced!!!-Bjtrevor33 wrote:The only thing they changed about classic was the region names, trying not to be sued.oaktown wrote:It should be noted that half of those first ten maps - including Classic - have been redone since their release date and resemble the originals in gameplay only.

You can't see the old map for legal reasons. They changed the least amount possible to keep the map... which was changing the names and some light border change.owenshooter wrote:that is absolutely false. you can't even SEE the old classic map on the site/create game!!! what are you even talking about?!! even the archived games of the first matches have had the original classic map replaced!!!-Bjtrevor33 wrote:The only thing they changed about classic was the region names, trying not to be sued.oaktown wrote:It should be noted that half of those first ten maps - including Classic - have been redone since their release date and resemble the originals in gameplay only.
again, 100% incorrect. the old classic and the new classic look nothing aliketrevor33 wrote:You can't see the old map for legal reasons. They changed the least amount possible to keep the map... which was changing the names and some light border change.

you do realize you just changed your argument, right? a few times now. and each time, you were still wrongtrevor33 wrote:Are you a CC lawyer? Get your head out of your ass, any idiot can see they're basically the same map with a few minor differences. The oiginal is the original Hasbro map which they were forced to change, imo the new map does look better on a small screen but that's a different discussion.

i posted the maps. they are not the same. you can not dispute this. just say, "wow, i was wholly wrong," and move on. you can't change your argument after being so stoic about it. you were proven wrong, the black jesus is always right... and way to further the discourse with your baiting... the black jesus has spoken..-Bjtrevor33 wrote:The only thing they changed about classic was the region names, trying not to be sued.

OOOhhhhhh!!!! i get it!!! thanks!!!-BjDoomYoshi wrote:owen thinks graphics has something to do with maps. Maps are just vertices and the lines that connect them. Graphics are a waste of time.
