Not so much eating kosher foods as not eating non-kosher foods. I don't go out of my way looking for 'kosher', but I don't eat pork, shellfish, things like that. For religious reasons, and also it's healthier. But I don't care what anyone else does either.

any kind of question that generalizes about a certain race, culture, sex, religion, etc. is a stupid question
Not if said creed begins to force itself upon others.

Ham is nice. But I'll be in a position where maybe ham is the least of my worries.
What are going to be the main issues?
I dunno, I suppose the maggots will become annoying, as they eat through my decaying body, but I suppose It will be a bit of company.

Don't you ever think to yourself occasionally.."jeez, I'd love to beat one out right now" after browsing through the bible?

What's wrong with shellfish? I think they're delicious.

They feast on the excrements of well... everything, and are hence, supposedly unclean to eat.

Which is similar to why Muslims don't eat pigs (or meat from pigs).

I was off pork for years, not particularly religious reasons. Thinking it's not healthy partly. I noticed when some people convert to Islam and go off it they seem to talk about how much better they feel etc.

Then suddenly last year some time I had some sweet and sour. I'm into that now quite a bit.

Still not a huge fan of ham, it's ok as an ingredient but as a main attraction not so much.

I wanna stay in my bone-box. Plenty of peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, that's not an option. :(

Jay, you've never met anyone who has died and known. Quite frankly we don't know what our options are. You always complain about people belittling the Christian beliefs, now stop belittling his.

Can't say I've experienced that... perhaps you've read a different bible than I have.

the most annoying thing about christians (and followers of most other religions come to that) is their belief that leading a good and honest life should lead to some sort of reward - heaven no less.

while the rest of us who try to lead honest, decent lives do so for the selfless purpose of the common good.

but do i get smug about it?

Wow. That's belittling Rev? Try this then...

You're dumb.

I bet I'm like, the baddest insulter the world has ever seen now.

Quite frankly, everyone has a belief in what their options are. His beliefs are as real to him as yours are to you. He knows what his options are, and you believe that one cannont know. Just because one doesn't know something exists is not proof in anyway of it's existence nor non-existence. And now I've joined the ranks of the belittlers.
