speaking of 1984, im surprised that no one ever took up some of the other themes of the book and explored them, specifically writing some from the other two powers. Even if you didnt change much, seems like a pretty easy way to make a buck.

Wasn't the whole point that the other two powers didn't exist, and were merely fictitious folk-devils that allowed Oceanian leaders to manipulate their citizens with greater ease?
