Hopefully we'll be able to do a few REVAMPs of the forums, but if you don't take the time to care, that is your own fault.

Conquer Club, a free online multiplayer variation of a popular world domination board game.

Being an occasional visitor of the Map Foundry, I looked at the Revamp thread. How many people were protesting against WM's one? A few, if I remember correctly.AndyDufresne wrote:The best way to decide, is be active in the Foundry Process. yeah...that is the best solution...why not keep the old one?Skittles! wrote:Well, if people are still protesting, why don't you just put the old Canada map up next to the new revamped one? It'll fix the protesting and then everybody would be happy.
This is a bad idea - why do we need two maps that are exactly the same bar graphics? The maps in the game finder are already cluttered enough since there are so many, and new maps are being forged all the time.-ShadySoul- wrote:yeah...that is the best solution...why not keep the old one?Skittles! wrote:Well, if people are still protesting, why don't you just put the old Canada map up next to the new revamped one? Just saying "i don't like it" doesn't give the develops any clue to what you want done. They would have listened if you had of used constructive criticism, such as, "i find that the armies are too hard to see on such a dark background" or whatever (i don't think that they are...just wanted to give something concrete for him to see)AndrewB wrote:I dont like it either. It was one of my favorite maps before, now it is too busy with graphics, and I won't play it anymore.
And I did check the thread before it was quenched. But saying "I don't like it" apparently is not good enough, so I didnt bother.
see my post above it is extremely difficult to see army numbers for someone like me with not so perfect sight - although i suspect even those with good eyesight will struggle to see green army numbers in B.C.Syzygy wrote:I prefer the new style. Both maps are easily playable. I really don't see what the hell is the problem here?
Ah, alright. That does make perfect sense. Isn't there a colourblind option in Greasemonkey though?rebelman wrote:see my post above it is extremely difficult to see army numbers for someone like me with not so perfect sight - although i suspect even those with good eyesight will struggle to see green army numbers in B.C.Syzygy wrote:I prefer the new style. if that is true then these two should have been fixed prior to any revamp being quenchedbenjij wrote:look better then the old 1 ,,but still,, many province and territory name are wrong
i am not color blind and the color blind option was not added to give cartographers an easy way out - there is a colorblind palet available (if widowmaker is unaware of this I will send on details ) but the issus here is more fundemental than that we have six basic armie colors (seven if you include neutral's color) and choosing background colors which clash directly with these make this map unplayable for many like me no matter how well it looks - until this is fixed this map should not be live and should be returned to foundry.Syzygy wrote:

But if the colourblind isn't , I'm sure widowmakers would fix that.
That good point aside, there isn't anything else bad about the map.
