Yes! Smart! maybe make a bunch of ports(4-6), let ones on the same ocean attack each other, and give it a high bonus! This solves the problem I have that this maps has too many 2s and 3s. If you thought there were too many continents, you could maybe combine two. But anyway, good first draft, Lany. But shouldn't you be concentrating on your Brazil contest?Hotdoggie wrote:I'd play this map as it is now, an impressive first draft and I don't think it is too bottle necked...definately not as bad as Indonesia.
EDIT: maybe move the sea route at the top of the page which goes furthest to the left to the purple continent instead?
EDIT 2: maybe some ports?
Its just parts of Costa Rica and Columbia, with just Panama, it would be too small a map, not enough territories. The main part of the map is Panama.edbeard wrote:Why are you including Costa Rica and Columbia on a Panama map?
It's not really a Panama map then.

split it into more terits.lanyards wrote:Its just parts of Costa Rica and Columbia, with just Panama, it would be too small a map, not enough territories. The main part of the map is Panama.edbeard wrote:Why are you including Costa Rica and Columbia on a Panama map?

Mostly done with Brazil. Still needs the impassables, mabye a few other things. But we have a while to finish. I will look for a different title font.The Fuzzy Pengui wrote:are you already done with your brazil revamp for the competitionlanyards wrote:I am starting a Panama Map. Here is my first draft![]()

anyway, i like what you have so far, i think it could turn into a great map. the only thing i don't really like is the font for the title, not sure why...it just doesn't agree with me
welllllll, if you're going to include those areas, then I'd say it shouldn't be called Panama.lanyards wrote:Its just parts of Costa Rica and Columbia, with just Panama, it would be too small a map, not enough territories. People already are not liking the bottle necks, and adding a canal right through the middle will make alot worse.fumandomuerte wrote:I was thinking the same lol.MrBenn wrote:Isn't there a canal or something in Panama... or is it famous for something else?
PANAMA=CANAL.
It's like going to Paris and not care about vising the famous tower...
... I like Indochina BECAUSE of the bottlenecks. It is completely different gameplay from all the other maps and its fun for strategy.DiM wrote:people don't like bottle necks and they avoid them like the plague.
look at indochina. it has great graphics but nobody plays it becouse of the middle bottle neck. it's just bad.

What would the canal do for gameplay?fumandomuerte wrote:I was thinking the same lol.MrBenn wrote:Isn't there a canal or something in Panama... or is it famous for something else?

I also dislike bottlenecks, and tried hard to NOT make bottlenecks in Italy. I think there's always a secondary route if you need it. But hey - that's all history.tim02 wrote:kind of bottle necked maps: Italy

I dunno...like the way Bamboo Jack has terts off to the side? Just a thought. I will go away nowwcaclimbing wrote:how would you make a territory that is essentially just a line? (yes, i know there are lakes in there also, but some parts would be too small to see on the map, unless they were just represented with a line.)keiths31 wrote:The canal could be a territory?a la Alcatraz?...just a thought
