It happened to me. I couldn't end my turn because the communication with the server kept on timing out.

It looks like we're suffering from some DB overloads....
We're working on getting things sorted, but in the mean time stop playing so many damn games the server can't handle it :-p

If you are the only one lagging:
You have a bad internet connection
If everyone is lagging:
Possible site update
Lack broke the servers
servers are overloaded
someone just clicked a huge autoattack, draining server power.
(there are more to add to both lists, but that should explain most of it.
