You beat me to it.
I wasn't going to estimate the universe... just the world/Earth.
Now... to give a "date" would be impossible. Since it's likely that by then any intelligent life on Earth (assuming there is any) would have a different calendar.
Global Warming will not cause the end of the earth. It could cause humankind a LOT of hardship.... perhaps extinction... but other life on Earth will persist.

This is funny stuff. The newest data actually shows the earth is cooling now.
Cooling is direct effect of heating.
The earth gets hotter, therefore, the ice at the poles start to melt, the colder water cools the oceans...and BINGO! The planet starts cooling down. So Global warming is still the cause.
I'm going to try that with a frozen dinner. If I pop it in the microwave, the food will experience "global warming". As the frozen gravy warms, it'll melt, spreading cooler gravy over the meat, resulting in cooler meat... no WONDER my microwave doesn't work! I'm heating frozen things, resulting in cooler food! You people are GENIUS!
OK... so listen. It is called a "mini ice-age". Look it up.
The end result is going to be a "warmer earth" overall. However... it will cause extremes... where the equatorial regions will get MUCH warmer... but the northern (and maybe southern) hemisphere (sp?) will get cooler.
It has to do with the oceanic currents that currently help balance and regulate temperatures. These will be disrupted by the melting of the ice-caps.
This actually could be worse than just everything getting warmer.

Are you sure you're a democrat?

It already is. Right now, we're all experiencing a subconscious connectivity as we suffocate. The world's atmosphere has been polluted so harshly that we've all sunk into a collective, suffocation-induced comatose state. Even though it hastn't lasted long, the comparative speed of thought to action has made seconds seem like years. Thus, everything we've "experienced" through the last few "years" has in fact been echoes of our memories before falling into this state. Enhance that by our collective minds thinking continuously for a prolonged period of time and we've got an advanced "future" world based on what the world was like when we were awake. Like the Matrix.
Now, I'm gonna go back and get me some Doritos. I have killer munchies.
The planet earth won't end until long after we're gone, I'd say. As for when human life is going to end. I would say that there is a very good chance it could happen in the next 100 years, possibly in the next 20.

Bah you people should stop worrying so much. Did you know in the middle of America you can find the skeletons of prehistoric sea creatures(some species much larger then todays largest whales)? You know why? Because it used to be part of the ocean. At some point the water levels went down significantly, why panic now that it's going up slightly.
Besides, obviously the world will end in 2013, when the zompocalypse comes.
Everything confuses and enrages me! Raaaargh Join Discord groupfor multiplayer gaming and general nonsense.
Calm down you lot. The world isn't going anywhere.
It takes alot of oomph to destroy an entire PLANET. And I don't see any Death Stars approaching any time soon.
This be when the Earth's magnetic field reverses itself, and it does this every few hundred thousand years or so. In the process, the field disappears for a certain amount of time, leaving the Earth with no protection from radiation. At all.
900 million for uninhabitability, 5 odd billion for distinct absence of sun, 10^15 years for evaporation and 10^40 years for actual destruction.
Barring catastrophe, the actual Earth isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Humanity, though, is a lot more killable. I'd say 50-150 years until western civilization goes kaput and a few tens of thousand until humanity as a whole dies.
We own all your helmets, we own all your shoes, we own all your generals. Touch us and you loooose...

You are so wrong my friend.
Cave Paintings recently discovered in Mexico, (that have been dated to 27-32,000 BC) clearly show Prehistoric men wearing aqualungs, Spear fishing for Basilosaurus's, then dragging the half eaten corpses halfway across America on 85 feet long wheeled axles. Then burying the remains in a dusty part of Montana.
It came as a shock to palentologists that mankinds ancient ancestors had a well developed sense of humour.

Surely pedro's return to these forums is itself a harbinger of the apocalypse??
j/k, wb. If indeed you were ever actually away. I haven't left this forum in several years now.
A lot of people say that earths going to end on 2012 because thats when the mayan calendars going to end. But there was also a similar calendar that ended in 1984 but i didnt see any shit happen. People also said that the first day of 2000 will be the last one. Nothing happened there too. I dont believe in myths. All i believe in is true scientific facts like global warming.
Well, an asteroid is on a collision course with earth and is due to hit sometime in 2020 (or 2040 I don't remember). It does not have the power to alter earth's state seriously but it'll wipe out life the same way the dinosaurs were wiped out. Google it if you want!
