Another Flowery Twats fan here... did anyone see Roman's Empire when it was on? 2007 I think... Only ran for 1 series due to low ratings...I thought it was hilarious though
Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

Hmm, Blackadder of course was awesome, Never really a fan of fawlty towers or the office though they were ok to watch. I'm going to have to go for the old cult comedies, mighty boosh and IT crowd are always brilliant and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is so cult i've only just found it. anyone who hasn't seen it should at least youtube it: classic take off of 70's tv.

I also really enjoyed Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, but it doesn't seem to have done so well over there and didn't run very long.

I'm Alan Partridge was hilarious too.

Best character ever.

Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

I think you might like Yes Minister, Juan. It has a very cynical view of government. Here's a few examples on foreign policy.

It's not a sitcom, but That Mitchell and Webb Look is great. Some of the skits had me literally falling out of my seat. The Germans in the trenches deliberating whether they are the bad guys - I couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the show. And Das Ist Numberwang still has me rewatching it on YouTube every couple of months when I need a kickstart

Big Train was also good. There was one skit with Jesus and Satan. I can't check to see if this is the right one, but here's a YouTube link, should be correct:

Again, not a sitcom, but here's some Armstrong & Miller WW2 comedy.

I've just discovered Still Game recently and it's absolutely brilliant.

Here's an episode relevant to the weather we're having here at the moment;

Has anyone here ever watched The Brass Eye I just discovered this show. I suppose it's really not a sitcom but it is damn funny.

Yes! I'm a big fan of Chris Morris's work. I posted a Brasseye sketch in the World Aids Day thread the other day. If you like Brasseye then you should check out his previous show, The Day Today. He also made a feature film this year - Four Lions - it's a comedy about jihadi suicide bombers.

Saxi doesn't understand much UK-British humour but his FAV sitcom was (LOL - know this one dates me gang!) that '60's programme "The Prisoner". We didn't get much UK-British TV in DDR but got that one and used to :lol: at all the tomfoolery Number 2 would put Number 6 through and how Number 6 couldn't catch a break no matter what kind of dumb slapstick shenanigans he tried - a regular "Tom" (as in Tom and Jerry :P )! When I was in residency at the Hohenschönhausen Special Hospital we used to try some of Number 2's tricks on the patients for a :D every now and then. LOL shoulda see the looks on their faces, they were like "WHAAAAA----? WHAAAS GOING ON, MAN?!" :lol:

Also liked the comedy show about the bus driver who became a pop star. What was that one? :-s That bloke Andy Israel or something was in it. Can't recall name of show.

Kinda surprising that more people don't think so.

Because I think ultimately it was as much drama as sitcom. Not that that's a bad thing.
