there are some great maps on CC.

most have dead space on them with countries bordering 'ghost' lands - don't get the point in that

the probalem with this first time round was it was not historically accurate, hopefully it is now.

this is a raw map, no dead space, historically accurate and how europe may have turned out with a bit of different fate

we could all be khans....

For some reason the image that you are posting is much larger than the area of the map (ie you have a big white border around your image)

You mentioned about merging your previous thread in here... personally I think you'd be better off adding a link to it in the first post, rather than adding in several pages that may confuse/detract from current discussion.

Interesting ideas! Seems like you're focusing on the religious conflicts of the time. Following this project with great interest. :)

No. If anything, animistic, with an interest in (and rather accepting of) other religions.

Frederick II (December 26, 1194 – December 13, 1250), of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, was an Italian pretender to the title of King of the Romans from 1212 and unopposed holder of that monarchy from 1215. As such, he was King of Germany, of Italy, and of Burgundy. He was also King of Sicily from his mother's inheritance. He was Holy Roman Emperor (Emperor of the Romans) from his papal coronation in 1220 until his death. His original title was King of Sicily, which he held as Frederick I from 1198 to his death. His other royal titles, accrued for a brief period of his life, were King of Cyprus and Jerusalem by virtue of marriage and his connection with the Sixth Crusade.

It is considered that at this time the Holy Roman Empire effectively had control over the Papal States and Two Sicilies.

The Crusades 1250AD

CURRENT VERSION

Updated following recent comments. Holy Lands changed. Some internal restrictions removed.

Image

There are 6 continents : armies/ territories/ to defend
- Roman Catholics 6/ 10/ 3
- Eastern Othodox 5/ 7/ 7
- Islamic Emirates 3/ 8/ 4
- Pagan Tribes 2/ 4/ 3
- Mongol Golden Horde 3/ 7/ 3
- Mongol Il-Khanate 2/ 5/ 3
----
42 in total

A crudader holding the Holy Lands, whilst holding a continent(s), will receive double the army entitelment for holding the continent(s). For example a crusader holding the Holy Lands and all the Islamic Emirate states will be entitled to a army bonus of 6, instead of the usual 3. Hence it is worth crusading for...

The Caucasus Mountains are inpassable between those territories marked with a cross.

This is based on the project from the past - see link: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 35&start=0

Let the Crusades commence...

you have to get rid of the white

Edit: You could move the Bahriyya Mamluks army cirlcle up, and put the name right below it that way it wouldn't be running over the water

Fair comment Quert. It looks like in 1250ad the Hungarians were preoccuplied with the mongols. The bulgarians did capture a number of large areas in the early 13 century, but it looks like the serbian prince recaptured alot of it by 1250ad. Orthodoxy was the main relaigion, closely aligned to Eastern Orthodoxy.

Map changed.

More historical accuracy comments welcome
