Or dice have been sick for them... such as taking 10 singles and losing 0 for a kill.... meh dice happen right?
These guys have played excellent. G1 need 2 more wins for an outright victory, 1 to ensure at least a draw... gonna be tight.
Why do they need both to win ( Ladder?)-- need just 1 for the victory- no?

Indeed you very well may. Looks like G1 wants 7 games, 3 each side, and 1 on a random map. If that is what they want lets do it.

I may be mistaken, but I thought the consensus around the robot forum was that a tie is a tie, and that we would totally be up for another challenge at some point in the future. If we hadn't been prepared to accept a tie result, we would have ensured the challenge was not an even number of games.
It was a great challenge, and I'm sure the next one will be too.

According to Baldaonis we were going to work out a tie break series of some sort.

Just seems odd that it takes almost a month to decide on whether there will be a tie-breaker and what it will look like.

There is no tie-breaker happening. We knew going into a 30 game series, that a tie was possible.
Bruceswar wrote:According to Baldaonis we were going to work out a tie break series of some sort.
As I recall, he posed the question to the clan, and the consensus was that we were not interested in a tie-breaker being played immediately, but that we would be more than happy to do battle again at a future date with another full challenge.
Also, BaldAdonis disappeared entirely, about 4 weeks ago, so any negotiations made through him are somewhat lost now.
Bottom line, this challenge resulted in a tie.

These were my thoughts, exactly. jpcloet's rankings allow for such a scenario to take place and is expected to happen sometimes!
This was an amazing fought battle and both sides should be proud. Hopefully next time we meet there will be a tiebreaker set before the match
