I think the OP's statement is beautiful.

When I first came to this site, years ago, I was inundated with a whole lot of really nasty posts from a small group of extremely loud and immature individuals. I also saw a whole lot of profanity and personal attacks in a forum that I can't seem to find anywhere now. What was it called again? It doesn't matter now --the new administration has put an end to all that nonsense.

Anyway, my point is that I got caught up in the frenzy, as a natural result of having joined a site that allowed such posts to be displayed to the general public, and I may have also used a little profanity here and there, or defended myself against attackers rather than just accepting their attacks as manifestations of their own immaturity, and letting it go.

For that, I'd like to follow the example of the OP, and beg the forgiveness of anyone that I may have offended.

Please forgive me.

Ill try to forgive you, but the things you said hurt me deeply. Here that is even more true, because of the number of different countries that people are from. Using the one english language insures that there are never any misunderstandings. If I have similarly offended someone that I did not mean to offend over the years, I also apologize. As I said, I dont see how that is possible however.

I'm the opposite. I usually mean something offensive. A lot of the time, people are too stupid to realize it though.
