Another bump in an effort to get to 36.

Really want to do this with 36 but if we go another week or so, I will adjust (there are ways to keep the basic structure with 30 or even 24 players).

Almost a week with no more response. This will be the last bump... if we don't get near 36, I'm going to alter this edition to 24 or 30 players (still trying to think which will work better of those two).

Ok. I just reworked the formatting in my head and this can work perfectly with 30. So I'm closing registration here (though accepting reserves). The original post will be edited shortly to indicate the changes, which will be minor. Games will be sent when I have tournament rights.

Tournament privileges have been granted, games have been created and sent. The first post in this thread has been edited to show the format changes. Even though they are minor (and only affect the semis and finals), please review them. Remember that only the group winner in the first round will advance to the semifinals. Also, the second post in this thread will serve as the scoreboard for the entire tournament.

Just a note to say that there's no need to send 1st round results. I'm checking regularly and the scoreboard is updated daily. Things seem to be moving along nicely toward the second round.

Also, for those interested in Initech V, please check out this thread: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 90&t=92670

Congratulations to mzomboracz001 Champion of Initech IV: Europe!

GOLD: mzomboracz001
SILVER: pridekiller
BRONZE: Peter Gibbons

mzomboracz001 won a heated championship match on the Europa map to claim the tournament victory. After pridekiller got out to an early lead by eliminating ubersky, it was a see-saw battle until mzomborac001 took control of the map with his elimination of Peter Gibbons. pridekiller did not have enough to prevent the inevitable, and mzomboracz001 secured the final elimination shortly to claim the crown. With convincing wins in his first round and semifinal groups, mzomboracz001 was victorious at each stage of the tournament and was a deserved champion.

mzomboracz001 concluded the 81-game, 3-round, 14-map tournament with the following statistics: 17 games played, 103 points, and 8 map wins. The complete stats for the Final Group participants:

1. mzomboracz001: 17 games, 103 points, 8 map wins
2. pridekiller: 17 games, 122 points, 9 map wins
3. Peter Gibbons: 17 games, 95 points, 8 map wins
4. ubersky: 17 games, 72 points, 5 map wins

Congrats again to mzomboracz001 and thanks to all for playing.
