thanks. I have GIMP installed, but unfortunately Helix taught me how to work in Photoshop. so GIMP is unknown for me...Evil DIMwit wrote:Well, the GIMP is the classic free Photoshop substitute. I don't really know how to use it well but plenty of people around the Foundry seem to.
it is OK. thanks for your interest and help. busy with job or fun?Evil DIMwit wrote:All right, sorry for leaving your hanging with that question for a bit but I had a busy weekend.
thanks, I severat times edited them by advices.Evil DIMwit wrote: I've gone over the bonuses and for the most part they look all right. They're not all absolutely perfectly balanced, but they don't have to be, since the map is littered with other ways go get bonuses and since there are so many continents.
OK. in the older versions it was +2.Evil DIMwit wrote: I think you can bring the bonus for Courland up to 2; that sticks out as being a bit undervalued.
my idea was to build map on auto-deploy, because there is very few these maps and also to simulate importance of castles and towns in medieval era. each player will start with one castle, one city, one town, so at the start will have 6 troops in castle and can attack territory. there are enough manual-deploy bonuses (continents, Hansa towns, pagan+christian symbols)...Evil DIMwit wrote: You might want to rethink having the standard +3 bonus not apply. First of all, you've got to have at least a +1 bonus. Second of all, from experience with Woodboro, having the player able to deploy fewer troops where they want means that there's less room for strategy and so the game will be much more determined by luck of the drop. So consider raising the minimum to 2 or 3 (though if you want to not give a standard territory bonus beyond that, that's good.
the towns are part of continents so they brings manual-deploy units if continent is held... and Hanseatic towns have similar bonus as you mentioned: +1 for 2 if player holds also Visby.Evil DIMwit wrote: Consider differentiating churches and towns by having one of them give a regular bonus instead of an auto-deploy.
yes, Wiek and Osel make Bishropic of Osel and Wiek.Evil DIMwit wrote: Finally, does Wick connect to Osel?
I ask because there's no red line between them on the map.theBastard wrote:it is OK. thanks for your interest and help. busy with job or fun?Evil DIMwit wrote:All right, sorry for leaving your hanging with that question for a bit but I had a busy weekend.Fun. Went down to Baltimore for the weekend. But that's neither here nor there...
Well, maybe it'll work for this map. If you think so, then Beta will tell.my idea was to build map on auto-deploy, because there is very few these maps and also to simulate importance of castles and towns in medieval era. each player will start with one castle, one city, one town, so at the start will have 6 troops in castle and can attack territory. there are enough manual-deploy bonuses (continents, Hansa towns, pagan+christian symbols)...
for now I want it without +3 bonus.
or is possible to have standard 3 units only at start and during game no?No, the only possible way to modify bonuses is according to ownership of territories.

I do not know. I never did any map...Evil DIMwit wrote: Well, maybe it'll work for this map. If you think so, then Beta will tell.
hm, than when Beta will tell it needs standard bonus it could be as you said +1 or +2...Evil DIMwit wrote: No, the only possible way to modify bonuses is according to ownership of territories.
sorry, I did not understand you. I though you ask if they made continent. no they are not connected (as Principality of Rugen also).Evil DIMwit wrote: I ask because there's no red line between them on the map.
sometimes the updating of map takes any time because my copy of Photoshop was crashed and I wait for new one. Industrial Helix helps me with updating, but he has fingers in much projects. thanks him for his help.Evil DIMwit wrote:Well, I've got no other complaints. Make any changes to the map you want now (or tell me that you aren't) and I'll go ahead and sticky this thread.
you are greatIndustrial Helix wrote:Or about five minutes for an update...
