No. The challenges are already on its way. I think it already have being 4 battles so far.

All Maps are now Claimed. From now on when a new map are released it will be the first two that wants it that will battle for it with default settings.

How are freemiums allowed in this by the way?
What happens if they have five maps and get challenged 4 times and have to play 12 games?

It is easy to kill them off. If they dont join fast enough they are out according to the rules. I would say you can own one map, 2 at most.
