Dugcarr has went too far- I suggest he should be banned

if the players who support actions such as dug's leave the site, it only makes CC a better more honest place to play risk.

actualy moron more players are turned off from cc now. Dug did not break any rule. How did he know that he was gonig to get a bann for not breaking a rule. The mods are heads are so far up eachothers asses, that they can't see whats going on, funny thing is, and said that this happened in the forum. it was all pms

As Andy stated, when Lack set this site up, he could not have foreseen someone would have gone to the lengths Dug did to willfully and negatively deteriorate the gaming experience for others.

The Forum Guidelines are enforced, it just might not always be in public. Many private warnings are sent to people who cross the line. We rely on the community to bring forth violations of the forum and site rules, as we are only but a few sets of eyes.

Hendy, the bans are set up to prevent posting in PMs and the forum... we can't pick or choose one or the other. Since PMs are where this happened, PM privileges were taken away.

And for the record, it didn't matter that it was Dug, a player often misliked (misunderstood?). The outcome would have been the same no matter who it was.

I know, some would say that prohibiting dugcarr's access forum is not harsh at all, but maybe just for the normal people. But as for the dug, I don't think it could have been more perfect. He needs the FORUM to exist, he is nothing without it. With a bunch of followers, which put him on the pedestal. He was not enjoying the game, he was enjoying the attention and freedom. Now it is all gone...

And he most likely will stop playing anyhow. Look at his active games he has just 1 ongoing. And also has his tantrum moment with giving away points crap.

If history shows that supposedly communist regeimes led to repression, then I guess the question that needs to be asked is did these repressive institutions spring necessarily from communism (and efforts to sustain it), or did they result from other factors?

Sorry, my last comment on the issue (hopefully a relatively unbiased one), as both you and I pointed out it has no relevence here and shouldn't have been brought up.

There's the central issue. If the mods had allowed this without any censure than it'd give the impression it's ok to "play dirty" so to speak, and that'd set a precedent, and the gaming experience for everyone would deteriorate as lots of people would try similar "low" tactics to get on top.

I dont give a flying f*ck what Lack didnt forsee, the fact is he didnt make a rule for this case, dugcarr1 did not break any rule, therefore not punishable. You can not give someone a 4month forum bann for not breaking a rule.

This seems to me a reasonable punishment for the crime.
