AMC: The Walking Dead (Season 3:SPOILER ALERTS!))

I've found that The Walking Dead is much more interesting in the context of binge watching rather than episodic watching. I watched season one and season two back to back over the course of about a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think if you wait a week to look forward to an episode and the episode has no major plot advances, it becomes boring.

At least this weekend we get the return of the governator! (hopefully they've got enough SFX budget after all the zombie make-up for the little glowing red eye underneath that patch this time)

I could have done without the Governor music video at the start of the episode.

Also, until they finally drove the delivery truck off, I was worried the rest of Season 4 would be set in a 2-bedroom apartment. "If you thought we saved money on season 2, wait until you see our budget request for the back-half of season 4!"

I did hear they blew a lot of their wad on that stupid grocery store roof collapse episode, and one of the writers even bragged about how he didn't care how much they spent, they just really wanted to start the season with a bang. Bad decision, will probably end up on welfare.

Eh. Seems like an attempt at redemption but the fact that he apparently appeared outside of the prison looking like he's scoping it out makes me think it's 99% likely he doesn't succeed. Overall, I didn't care for the episode.

I laughed my azz off at the end of that episode. The Gov tells the mom and aunt and kid to drop their packs and run. Aunt has a messed up ankle, so mom is helping her. Stupid kid stands like a statue for a few moments, and then rushes into the arms of the Gov. This of course overloads his insane mind with old feelings of his own now dead little girl.

And this is where I laughed. The Gov with little kid in arms, takes off running. He blows right on past mom and aunt who are struggling. The Gov just runs right on past 'em without a word or even a look back. Hahah!

Yeah, them two are gonna die. The Gov doesn't give a crap about them, he is just trying to relive what he once had before the zombie end of the world. He is completely nuts. He'll be obsessed with that little girl, doing whatever he needs to do to protect her. Being as the Gov is insane, some of the ways he "protects" her will be quite mind shattering I'd wager. Not only will the Gov kill, leave to die or sacrifice anyone to make sure he and the girl live, he'll be even worse to the girl herself.
Not in any sexual way or that sort of thing, but more like a bird in a cage type of stuff. And he'll justify it all as keeping her safe.
Of course, in the end he'll fail, the kid will die and my bet is that it will be zombie kid that finally does the Gov in.

I keep having to avoid this thread until I've got caught up and found time to watch the episode.

This one gets a 6-7/10 for me - too cheesy by far in places but nice to get a break from the prison for a week.

Has anyone else noticed that they already have a season 5 listed on imdb? (no details yet ofc, but a hint that the contracts are already in place?)

This started at about a 4/10 but ended at 8/10!

The only bad part was Martinez dying. I loved that guy in Crank and he never gets enough screen time before getting off'ed.

So this next one may be the first episode that I have really looked forward to all season (negating episode 1). I am just waiting for the Governor's new family to turn against him. I am pretty sure that his new girlfriend will start putting two and two together if she hasn't already.

The ex-Army woman is very attractive.

So I guess the Guv hasn't been the one feeding the walkers outside of the prison. Did they confirm that it was that one little girl?

It has been suggested that it was her but there's been nothing solid. Honestly, when Martinez got introduced as a camp leader and you saw his walker pit. I was thinking that he had gotten spies into the camp but that has proven to be false as well. So the only viable possibility I see is the little girl, unless they are saying that some of the Woodsbury group might still be loyal to the Govnah, which could be interesting with the arc that's about to happen. Either way, even with the bug having wiped a good number of them out and the governor likely to wipe out more of them, I'm thinking the writers feel like Rick's group is too big right now. I could see them temporarily splitting with some of the group leaving with Daryl after he learns what Rick did to Carol.

Charges: Man stole delivery truck because he was 'running from zombies'

After stealing a newspaper delivery truck from a gas station, an intoxicated Apple Valley man told police that he took it because he was “running from zombies,” according to criminal charges filed this week.

Garrett Howard Hurlbut, 23, was charged with stealing a motor vehicle on Sept. 29. Just after 1 a.m., according to court documents, Hurlbut stole the Star Tribune delivery truck while its driver was dropping off newspapers inside an Apple Valley Kwik Trip on W. 145th St.

Police found Hurlbut near the truck several blocks away, at 140th Street and Cedar Avenue. He told police that he had “jumped or fell from the truck” and was “running from zombies,” according to the criminal complaint.

According to the complaint, the defendant had “bloodshot, watery eyes and a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath.” He was found to have a blood alcohol level of .198, more than twice the legal limit for driving.

He was taken to the hospital to treat cuts on his head. Police officers heard Hurlbut make several statements about stealing the truck because he was being chased by zombies.

So did anyone notice that other than the nameless character's, the governor himself and the military woman, the producers basically just killed off the two people least suited to be on the road? Herschel with his one leg and Judith the baby? I liked the episode but realistically, Rick should be dead and Daryl probably should be dead as I don't think rotting flesh makes that great of a bullet shield. Also was it just me or did the Govnah get stabbed through the heart and then continue to live for two minutes? Really was expecting the govnah to have more time to mourn the death of his adopted daughter. That went by really quickly. So lets see who's still alive:
