A good question. It's been my experience that racists don't really seem to be very hesitant about vocalizing their racism. Often they don't even see it as racism at all. But there still will be a portion of the population that lies about it.



Here are the latest polls.

A red or blue outline indicates less than a 3% polling lead, a light red or blue indicates less than a 9% lead, and solid indicates everything else.

The current polling shows this electoral outcome:
Obama 375 McCain 157 Ties 6

Assuming all the ties and states with a slight 3% lean went to McCain due to latent racism, Obama would still have the lead:
Obama 319 McCain 221 Ties 0

Even if all states with a 6% lean against McCain went to him, he'd still lose:
Obama 290 McCain 250 Ties 0

However, if racism were enough of a factor to knock off all but the solid blue states, McCain could win:
Obama 262 McCain 278 Ties 0
