Well my creative muse seems to have gone crazy. I keep coming up with the weirdest ideas from the most unrelated things. I'm trying to focus on my Damien story but all these ideas are starting to get jumbled up.

Just about to move on from Essex to Sussex for the weekend. Weather better, yesterday we walked to the end of Southend pier (the longest in the world) for the first time since it was repaired after the last fire. There's sod all there, and as I said to the Mrs, it's a metaphor for the wjole of Essex - the train doesn't go all t he way to the end of the pier...

It even has a "golden Mile".
No Tower, but the longest pier in the world.
Anyhow, I'm now done with Essex and Sussex, and am in Surrey for a few days in a v posh hotel.
You couldn't have got more English than the place in Sussex - a tumbledown 16th century cottage with roses round the door, 500 yards from the "Rose & Crown".
We couldn't get in the pub on the Sunday night 'cos it was full of the local cricket team and their supporters.
