I hatedhistory of any sort at school, probably due to crap teachers.

A few years later, I really got into it, and it proably accounts for about a third of my reading these days.

Yeah, it does depend on the teacher, but also what kind of history you're into. My senior year of High School, other then a few classes, they were all history.

History generally, and anything pre-Victorian, is sliding down the agenda shamefully in the Uk, at least the last that I saw.
