The rest of what you said makes sense though.

Been an amazing run for the Wings. I'm too young to remember the Dead Wings of the 80's. Basically, the Wings for me have always been Yzerman and Lidstrom. Going to be a sad day once Nick hangs 'em up.ben79 wrote:P.s.: congrats to serbia and his red wings for a 20th consecutive playoff spot !!!!! ( best record in the new nhl )

Jets are my second favourite team, next to the Sens. So I was conflicted last night (well, not too conflicted, maybe just a tiny bit. But my wife was plenty mad...). But they aren't technically a starting cub. They were in Atlanta for a long time...just that they were awful. Future looks good for them though. Now all we need are les Nordiques back and everything will be right in the hockey world.Johnny Rockets wrote:R.I.P the Winnipeg Jets.
Hell of a season for a starting club. Caught one game this year as tickets cost a kidney and a lung from your first born. Atmosphere in that arena is so pumped it's surreal.

it's not a starting club, a starting club is an expansion team ... not a trade team ( colorado won the cup on their first year as a team ), but hell of a season ( it's intimidating playing in winipeg big up to the fans )Johnny Rockets wrote:R.I.P the Winnipeg Jets.

my bad forgot one ... anyway amazing run for them ( sweden files ), and that brawl was something but my personal favorite is the '' vendredi saint '' between Montreal and Québec ( but i live there so ... ) and the Philadelphia vs Montreal pre-game brawl ( no referee on the ice ).Serbia wrote:Also, it's 21 consecutive years making the playoffs.
some good calls but overall more bad than good ones ....keiths31 wrote:It's about time that the Habs booted Gauiter. He was awful for them.

Howd they do this year? Can't say I've paid any attention at all tbh.Johnny Rockets wrote:R.I.P the Winnipeg Jets.

They haven't improved much in their new surroundings, currently at 78 pts with -20 goals. Last season they finished with 80 pts and -46 goals.Johnny Rockets wrote:Hell of a season for a starting club. Caught one game this year as tickets cost a kidney and a lung from your first born. The thing they have improved is they actually make money now. So for the owners that is a big improvement. The team meanwhile is great at home. The road not so much. That goes with having the worst travel schedule in the NHL. But with 5 games left, they could get as high as 88 points. So that would still be an improvement over last year.oVo wrote:They haven't improved much in their new surroundings, currently at 78 pts with -20 goals. If I haven't looked it up or watched a game this year, or taken the time to do so what are the chances of me clicking that link?Serbia wrote:A simple trip to ESPN reveals the answerIcePack wrote:Howd they do this year? I mean, is it really that difficult to look up?
