Chu, even though your comments prove useful to us townies, I do feel that you probably shouldn't be making them. Based on the comment that Victor is acting like an idiot well... that leaves me to conclude that he was not given a role of jester. Some had speculated that he might be based on this game and his behaviour, but if the mod also thinks he's being dumb then I can only conclude that victor was not given any roles where he could be given leeway for acting too silly.

So either he is scum trying to act too loony to give a jester impression, or he's just being a really bad townie.

I think you've jumped on a conclusion too soon... Even if Fircoal would be saying he is acting like an idiot, it could be because he's a jester since that requires him to be acting like an idiot. Still I think this whole argument is flawed since I like to metagame which tells me Victor must be mafia in each of his games atm. And I don't really buy that.

I don't think so. People with jester roles tend to act ridiculous in attempt to get lynched, most mods (including chu) would know that. Thus is would be bizarre for Chu to make comments on how idiotic he has been playing, as any jester would likely do so. As a Jester, would you consider 'accidentally hammering' another player? I think most would - that is an incredibly scummy thing to do, he could get voted heavily for that the following day had he actually lynched her. But Chu decided to discount that vote because he didn't think it was a real vote - if victor were a jester I'd imagine it would be counted as intentional. I cannot fathom a reason why chu would made those responses if vic were a jester.
So I still believe that Vic is either an idiot townie, or was bad mafia hoping to lynch vio with a 'joke vote' and try to bullshit out of it tomorrow.

When I made this post on vic we again had several people shift over to him without adding to it. I feel that people should be making more of an arguement for their actions instead of sheeping along with things. Especially me, as I just know that if I happen to be wrong on a lynch I'm sure to have a mass bandwagon on me tomorrow 'because I totes started it'.

i am not against giving the win to jesters, the chu doesn't stop the game at that, if i remember well when i won unmafia 2 as a jester the game kept going on, i don't see a safer lynch atm.

Going into discussion with you about that, however, will probably lead nowhere, so I'll rest the point, after noting that I still disagree. Also, as a good player anyone should be able to ignore the comments made by a moderator about a player's behaviour related to their role. That's not meant as an indirect insult, btw.

Perhaps we should ignore those comments, but the moderator should be the one making calls on what they should or should not be saying. Once something is written in this thread it becomes part of the game. Sure we could try to ignore and make no comment on it, but we will still have formed opinions in our own minds on what was said. We should also be ignoring meta, but no one seems to be doing that either.
You seem to be taking the same approach as Vio in insulting anyone who disagrees with you and it was equally annoying when she was doing it.

I've already stated this reason and reasons previously on why I still do not believe Victor to be a jester, but can't be fucked looking into him any more. Some one else can give their take on him.

As for vio, my issue on that case is it seemed that she was ignoring the comments already made on her to take a leap at commander's absence. She wanted him dead no matter what, not caring for him returning or coming back. That, in my mind, does not seem town like. I do not believe that we will get as much information from a straight lynch on him now as she claims. His role is essentially inactive now, meaning it is in no way a threat at this present time even if he is mafia. For the record, I still have not seen anything sufficient enough to conclude that he is mafia. Based on the logic provided he could very easily be a town power role. I wish to leave him until we can get a proper response from him or any replacement.

As town tracker Vio, you should have been far less stubborn than you were. It's all fine and dandy to latch on to a theory and run with it, but you need to be able to work with what you have in a manner best suited to the town. You hadn't fleshed out your thoughts and you ran yourself into a near lynch leading to, if you really are a tracker, being outed as an important PR. A great townie knows how to manipulate others into voting on a lynch they believe to be good, a good townie knows when to shut up or fix their errors. They do not run further afield with their unfinished theory and then essentially sacrifice themself. You could have used your abilities to find a lot more information out and then put that out there, you did not need to 'take one for the team' on day one.

Well Ihaven't read through this thread, I may have even been replaced which would be qutie ammusing. From the last two pages it seems as if Victor is acting like an uber noob and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it were some wacky PR (maybe with jester added to make it fit) but I don't think he would act all that strange for no reason, but maybe thats just fircoals modding style getting in my head

The copier can copy someone's action one night, then use it the next. It's semi-investigative, since I know who has the action I take. In other words, I can detect scum if I get a kill action, janitor action, or other actions generally attributed to mafia members.
