The rule is stated clearly.
That one of the examples that follow doesn't fit the rule is irrelevant.
Indeed, read down just a few more posts and you will see that the OP's error (or perhaps negative example?) is already addressed on the first page.

So to what was the FIX? I have now read that first page of this thread at least 3 times in the past month.

As I said before, I prefer not to turn this into a long, legal-like debate on a rule ("one letter") that the originator himself (Hank) did not follow.
