indeed. He just said that he doesn't think it is up to the goverment but to the states.Simon Viavant wrote:All Biden said in the debate is that he didn't think they should force gay marriage as in the traditional ceremonial marriage in the church etc. and that that should be up to the states. "Both individuals stated they would dress in all-white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt," the court complaint states. "Both individuals further stated they knew they would and were willing to die during this attempt."
So you're blaming Wall Street's problems on Obama's candidacy ?PopeBenXVI wrote:I was an economic minor in College and I own a small business. I also know about 25 other small business owners very personally in my weekly networking group and none of them are voting for Obama because they know they will have to lay people off if he does what he says he is going to do for business taxes.(Only a few of them would be considered rich by Obama) I have put a lot on the line for starting my business so I can create jobs for people like you. My Wife’s Aunt also (?) works on Wall Street and said that the Dow is tanking in anticipation of an Obama Presidency. That means they know things will get worse under him and are preparing for it already.
You'll have to explain this one a little better. This "new employee's" wage is more than a little vaguePope BenXVI wrote:It takes an average of $65,000 to bring on a new employee.
Do you really believe this? . . . and what exactly do you perceive as the whole problem ?Pope BenXVI wrote:[...] the current tax breaks to expire in 2010 which is not the whole problem [...] most of the country will see their taxes go up to about 39% [...] and then he will also raise taxes on the other “Evil Rich People” so they are taxed over 50%.
Obama wants to raise these taxes on the "rich" business's that keep us all employed, because having the 2nd highest tax rate isn't enough....it must be the highest. This will just force more companies to leave the US as it's too expensive to do business here.website wrote:“Right now the U.S. business tax is the second highest in the world. We will cut that so that we can keep American businesses in America.”
A recent KPMG study shows the combined federal and average state business income tax rate in the U.S. is 40 percent. That is lower than only the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, where the average is 55 percent and Japan at 41 percent, according to the KPMG study.
The GOP ticket argues Obama will raise taxes on businesses and investors that will hasten offshoring. Palin said in Indiana Saturday that Obama’s tax plans and “redistribution of wealth” would discourage entrepreneurs and small businesses and damage the work ethic.
The problem is taking what doesn't belong to you. Nobody should ever have to give half of what they earn to the government and rest of the country. 25% is even too much.....if you had $100 in your pocket, can I get $25? No...thats too much. Maybe more like 10% I think. If I had $100 then you can all have $10. But $50? Which is 50%? No fucking way. Then you'd only have $50. And if you want to go buy something....there is state sales tax which is usually about 10%. So now the guy that worked his ass off for all his money is left with $40 because the government has taken $60. Thats just not fair. Whats the motivation to work if they instantly take 50-60% of your money?oVo wrote:Do you really believe this? . . . and what exactly do you perceive as the whole problem ?Pope BenXVI wrote:[...] the current tax breaks to expire in 2010 which is not the whole problem [...] most of the country will see their taxes go up to about 39% [...] and then he will also raise taxes on the other “Evil Rich People” so they are taxed over 50%.

are registered trademarks of Backglass Heavy Industries.I agree. And iraq has a massive amount of cash from all the oil they've sold. I wish they could pay for their own war/defense. I wonder if they would pay for it or just ask us to leave? I'm tired of trying to fix the speck in our friends eye when we still need to remove the plank from our own.Backglass wrote:There...I fixed it for you.bedub1 wrote:So now the guy that worked his ass off for all his money is left with $40 because the government has taken $60 TO PAY FOR THE "WAR" IN IRAQ. I heard some staggering statistics today regarding Iraq. The number is estimated to hit One Trillion dollars soon. People can't fathom just how much money that really is, so an author has put together a book of real-world stats to bring it home.
How much have we wasted?
Enough to:
It's a staggering amount of wasted money that could have done monumentally historical deeds for our country.
- Pave the entire US Interstate Highway system in 23.5 Karat Gold Leaf.
- Buy every human on the planet earth an Ipod.
- Give every High School student in the United States a free four year college education.
- Double the 663,000 cops in the US for 32 years.
- Buy 16 Million Habitat for Humanity houses...enough for 44 million Americans.
In a similar vein, I find it staggering that several of the posters on here seem to just dismiss that figure spent on killing imaginary terrorists as fine, but have physically cried their eyes out over the (small by comparison) bailout designed to save their entire economy.Backglass wrote:I heard some staggering statistics today regarding Iraq. It is indeed saddening. You could've solved a lot of problems in your own country and others, but nooooo it had to be spend on kicking out some little dictator.Backglass wrote:There...I fixed it for you.bedub1 wrote:So now the guy that worked his ass off for all his money is left with $40 because the government has taken $60 TO PAY FOR THE "WAR" IN IRAQ. Nope. However, they fucking died so chasing them down wasn't much of an effort.bedub1 wrote:imaginary terrorists? do you believe the planes that hit the towers was actually a government conspiracy?Dancing Mustard wrote:In a similar vein, I find it staggering that several of the posters on here seem to just dismiss that figure spent on killing imaginary terrorists as fine, but have physically cried their eyes out over the (small by comparison) bailout designed to save their entire economy.Backglass wrote:I heard some staggering statistics today regarding Iraq. Who indeed. Go back to watching american gladiators on your massive TV.bedub1 wrote:Who gives a f*ck why we went in there

But the problem is that you're just meddling in a civil war now. Instead of giving the iraqi people indoor plumbing, good hospitals and schools you're busy most of the time with killing people who want to kick you out of their land. You can't shape this war into a humanitarian mission anymore.bedub1 wrote:i remember reading back in gradeschool about how in ancient roman times they used to throw their shit out the window into the street. I remember thinking I'm glad for indoor plumbing and especially civilization/progress. Then I heard that the people in iraq STILL throw their shit out the window, over 1000 years later....that children play in the sewage all day long and get sick. I've got photos a friend took when she was there as an engineer. Her job was to create a sewage system. Who gives a f*ck why we went in there, thats the past and we can't change it...we are there though and need to help those people out and can't just abandon them in their time of need.
Very much. The only way to solve this is by just getting out and letting them decide for themselves what to do. They really don't like you.You want to help Iraq, help get us out.
Baghdad. That would be like saying "all of america throws their shit out the window but LA has a working sewage system that drains straight into the pacific ocean".mpjh wrote:Get real, Baghdad had a modern, working sewage system before we bombed the shit into the streets. Because it was Republican who got into this TRILLION DOLLAR mess. Now we have John McCain, who full supports the entire war effort (and ANYTHING military) who believes we should NOT leave...and stay for another 50-100 years.bedub1 wrote:Why are we talking about Iraq? Hey...what another 3-4 Trillion Dollars, right?
Dipsh*t, ask yourself could 1% of the population in the US terrorize the rest into submission? Of course not. So why do you believe that of Iraqis. Because you are a racist who cannot fathom a people other than white american who can run their own country without us.bedub1 wrote:Baghdad. I am not a racist jerk...race and color of your skin means nothing to me. Regardless of who you are...you shouldn't be forced to live in squalor and filth by a cruel dictator.
How does leaving iraq help iraq? Do you realize the first thing that will happen is Iran will move in? I'm all for letting them decide what they want for themselves. The problem is 99% of the people are good...and the other 1% is terrorizing them and controlling them with fear. We need to help the 99%...not the 1%. The 1% gets all the attention, while the 99% hides in their houses and doesn't show their faces.
Stop living in the past, with your 20-20 hindsights. You are probably right...we shouldn't ever gone in there in the first place. But guess what...we did. And now we have to deal with it. Have you ever gone and actually asked an Iraqi if they want us there?
Why are we talking about Iraq? You claim it's a waste of money and we should get out? I claim social security is a waste of money and we should end it. Guess what...both of these are welfare programs..and neither of us wants to contribute money to either of them. The claims we went there for the oil and money...if we did...why don't we have either of them? Why do they have all the money? Lets let them pay for it, instead of forcing us to pay for it.
There is no point though in talking to you, as you don't understand anything, you believe fiction to be fact, and fact to be lies. When you loose the argument, you drop to attacking me personally and calling me a racists jerk.
Of course 1% could. If there are 305,521,462 people in the US...then 1% is 3,055,215 people. Even .1% could do enough damage to make people afraid to go outside. If these people are going around launching rockets, setting up road side bombs on US streets.....suicide bombing in downtown locations or shopping malls....if a guy blows himself up in a crowded movie theater will you think twice before going to the movies?mpjh wrote:Dipsh*t, ask yourself could 1% of the population in the US terrorize the rest into submission?
