strike wolf wrote:Hmmm...I had forgotten it was based off of a book...what was the book called?
lol good one you ever read the book i am guessing no i think the best bet for some one to have read it would be jonesy
curly you ever read the book last of the mochians??
Of course, and a few others by the same guy, but so long ago I can remember very little about 'em.
Written in a style which looks long-winded to the modern reader, but then a lot of my favourite authors are 19th century and early 20th, so that doesn't phase me.
In fact when I write myself I always have to go back over it, chopping sentences up, abbreviating them, makeing things more colloquial generally.

Sadly, I think so too. This is becoming extremely alarming that I agree with you, Ilya. Joking. You should check out some mods for MTW, so I can see if they're good or not.

What happened to beloved MTW?
And I bought Kingdoms. I only use Stainless Steel, but I rarely play that because I 'acquired' Europa Universalis 3! :]

Still playing it. Just playing a lot as Eriador, with 9 command and chivalry Aragorn.
Oh dear strike wolf, your taste in films is questionable.
How can you not like Antz?
And for the record, I prefer the new Star Wars films over the old. Yup, I said it.
Hayden what's-his-face though can take a long walk off a short pier.
In other news, as the kids' sports season draws to a close, the curlson has done quite well - last night was the final of the baseball league, and although they lost that still meant he has a second-place trophy to display besides his first-place trophy from the year before last (when he was playing for the team that beat them last night). His soccer team won the Memorial Day Weekend tournament and did OK in the league.
As for the curlette, well let's just say she's basking in her acting, singing, and dancing successes and her soccer team didn't quite come last.

Ugh, Fellowship of the Ring was loooooooooooooooong. The first time I saw it in theatre, I had been sitting in the same position for so long that when I tried to stand up after the movie ended, my legs craped so badly that I couldn't move. I had to wait for about 5 more minutes before I could move my legs at all, and they were hurting for a good half hour afterwards.

Like Stan's dad on South Park after the Wheel of Fortune Gaffe?
I haven't watched South Park in 10 years.
Basically, Stan's dad is on the final round of Wheel of fortunes and he has N_GGERS given to him in the puzzle (the theme was People that annoy you) and he says the N word on public tv across the country (turned out to be naggers). To redeem himself to the black community he had to literally kiss Reverend Al Sharpton's ass.
They used that joke in Family Guy too, if I'm not mistaken. Only instead of anyone having to kiss anyone's ass, the show host just had his assistant bring up the missing letter "A" (NAGGERS) and just stared at the contestant, mortified.

Well, I think that Star Wars episode III was the most kick-ass movie ever, but the original trilogy just has that "classic" awesomeness. It's one of those movies you just can't hate without being declared legaly insane.

Yes, YES, FUCKING YES. William Wallace kicks ass.
By the way, did anyone see that episode of "Deadliest Warrior" where they put him up against some crazy African warlord called Shakka Zulu? Cause I didn't. (Youtubes it)

Yeah the movies were long but they were quality movies.

Yes. Thankfully, my legs don't start hurting whenever I sit down to watch them now.

I don't think that's true that it was in Family guy but if it was they stole it from south park. The guy did stare at stan's dad mortified the ass-kissing came later on.
