Arkam Asylum Night Log Employee: Dr. Jennings – Night Time Psychiatrist
Last night throughout Arkham there were many strange instances and happenings. Even with all the reports from some of the inmates and a few stills we were able to capture from some of the security cameras, I’m not sure we fully understand what happened. I’ll describe the more important happenings as best I can to help out the ensuing investigation that will no doubt be underway later this morning.
10pm– Lights out for all of Arkham.
11pm – Cell check by security, however when guards looked in gimpyThewonder’s cell, they didn’t notice him. So, they opened the cell to double check and before they knew what happened they were knocked unconscious and the cell mate inside walked undisturbed through the open door.
11:05pm – Arkham was locked down the minute gimpyThewonder was noticed walking down the corridor of the east wing with no security escorting him. However, as the doors were locked and extra guards put on high alert outside all the exits, the inmate made his way to the security station inside the east wing. Using the keys obtained by one of the guards checking his cell earlier, gimpyThewonder entered the security station and killed the one night attendant in there. The next thing we knew, power throughout Arkham had been cut and cell doors throughout the Asylum had been unlocked.
11:15-11:30pm – Being the first to respond, Commissioner Gordon and Detective Bullock charged into the East wing security station to apprehend the loose convict. However, a chase apparently ensued which lead all three individuals outside behind the exercise facility or Arkham. While trying to buy more time to escape, gimpyThewonder reached inside his jacket for some type of weapon. But before it could be identified, Commissioner Gordon fired three shots; hitting the inmate with two of them.
gimpyThewonder – A.K.A “The Riddler” – Anti-Gotham/Roleblocker:
Died on the scene.
12:27am - Detective Bullock charged into my office at this time looking as if he’d seen a ghost. After several minutes of trying to calm him down, I was able to get a general picture of what happened after the shooting of gimpyThewonder.
Apparently after the shooting, Gordon and the detective were searching the scene for the concealed weapon “The Riddler” had reached for. But after almost 45 minutes and no luck finding it, they decided to give up until morning. However, while coming around the corner, Bullock claims he saw a flash of white light fly past the right side of his head. Without thinking, he threw himself behind the nearest object and reached for his gun.
I couldn’t fully understand what he explained next as most of it was incoherent and disjointed. But it seems as though another burst of white light came from down at the far end of the basketball court and this time hit Commissioner Gordon. The rest of the detectives account made little to no sense, but he did remember hearing the Commissioner scream before he was thrown through the air and out of site.
After that, the detective ran straight here looking for some kind of backup so that they could go back for the Commissioner. However, with convicts loose all over the Asylum, there will be no one who can check on this until morning. I gave the detective a mild sedative and told him to stay in my office for the night. It was obvious he was in no condition to go back to work.
2:25am – Two security guards came to check on me and report that they had to drug one of the inmates in the north wing due to is crazed ramblings. The guards claimed they found inmate cmckinney huddled up under is blankets, screaming in fear, because he believed the “masked clown” was trying to kill him.
Although there are cameras in all the inmate’s cells, they only capture still pictures once every 5 mins to conserve their batteries. We were able to get this picture from cmckinney’s cells camera, which proves that he may not have been hallucinating the whole incident.
It appears that for some reason, his cell door, and only his cell door, remained locked throughout the power outage. This no doubt saved his life from the crazed individual standing outside.
3:15am – Two shooters in one of the guard towers on the west side of Arkham, claimed they saw a figure all in black, running across the lawn towards them. Before they were able to identify the individual, the costumed figure climbed several feet up the tower and then used a whip to latch on to the edge of the towers roof and swing over the perimeter fence of Arkham.
4:10am – A security camera in the cafeteria area caught this image of several inmates who had apparently gathered there. The identities of these individuals is still unknown.
5:10am – Power was restored to all of Arkham.
6am – With the help of the morning security detail, all the inmates have been restored to their cells and order has been restored to Arkham.
6:45am – A team of police went out back to investigate last nights shooting of “The Riddler” and see if they were able to locate Commissioner Gordon. They apparently discovered his body in a large puddle of water and his clothes were still wet. It appears as though he had been dead for at least 6 hours, however they were unable to explain the water because it didn’t rain last night.
XenCobra - A.K.A. “Commissioner Gordon/Chief Of Police” – Pro-Gotham/Cop:
Was murdered last night.
6:55am – I’m now ready to clock out for the day. Above are all the incidents that were reported last night. Throughout everything last night, I would like to note and Gothams caped crime fighters Batman and Robin, were no where to be seen. I also would like to report that the doctor on duty last night was unable to be located. This could have been for many reasons, but I thought I should report it. Until tomorrow night then, this is Dr. Jennings signing out.
DEADLINE FOR DAY 2 IS TUESDAY JUNE 19TH AT 5AM PST.

I swear gimpy and xencobra get killed night one in every game I play
Wow.. eventful night, kudos for talapus for putting a lot of effort into that scene.
I'll reread to try and find out whos scummy but considering gimpy was one of the advocates of the random vote, I will FOS all those who initially voted random.
Looks like we've got a vigilante on our hands & they did a good job with the riddler, but the mafia got lucky with the cop kill.
and were the HELL is batman & robin? Have the rat & the bird left us to defend ourselves?

Very nice post, Talapus. I can see you put a lot of effort into that, and it would of taken a long time.
I just read through the whole thing, and I'm still suspicious of Moutainlion.
So.. Vote: Mountainlion. Basically your last post (Not really sure, as I can't remember as reading the whole thread was a mild mind-boggling) was a vote, with no reason. Why? All votes should have a reason, and I think you were just bandwagoning. Also, you almost, or made equal, to vote-jumps than Serbia did.

Here's a theory: could it be that Gimpy was killed by a serial killer, instead of a vigilante? If I were a vigilante, I would not have made a night kill, since I'm really not sure who is who.
Or perhaps the mafia got two kills, and got the wrong one on one occasion. I really don't see how anybody could identify targets with certainty at this point.
Are there clues in the pictures? Who are those people that were gathered outside? Is that little fat guy the Penguin (very vague Danny DeVito resemblance).
I didn't know you could vote people because of there nationality...
VOTE any aussies

I don't think the picture of the group of villains meant much...Two-Face & the Joker are on the right, not sure if it's the penguin on the left, but that's probably a few of the mafia group.

Well, doesn't it give us a hint about which villains to expect? From that, maybe we can deduce something about their roles.
In the intro statement it says a lot of anti-gotham players don't know who else is anti-gotham hence it is possibly gimpy was targetted by another anti-gotham player.
I think we can probably assume there are lot of the classic Batman villains around, the riddler is already dead, theres likely to be the joker, penguin, two-face etc. We can I think however clear whoever kinney hid behind for the moment.
According to the death scene, gimpy was killed by Gordon. Maybe mafia sent gimpy out to kill and the comish had a power to kill whoever kills him. Gimpy wouldn't know about this and thus no reason to roleblock. I used to think that there was no mafia and it was just a bunch of anti-gothams by themselves but now I don't know.
Its not about blindly believing it, hence the for now part in my quote. However, I am just saying we can rule him off for the moment, it seems quite ambitious of him to claim a hider role and it also seems to me a kind of role that could well possibly be in this game where we're all from a loony bin.
