You're looking at the wrong images...wcaclimbing wrote:maybe I'm just confused, but:
In the Rules of Engagement, the last entry.
It says "the river is uncrossable along borders except at the Karkh-Greenzone Bridge"
Shouldn't it be the "Rusafa-Greenzone Bridge"? because those are the two places connected by the bridge......

I love the idea of this map, it's very interesting. Don't worry about people who say this is an inappropriate map. I'm getting deployed to Iraq and I have no problem with it.
Although I think the map at this point might be a bit too complex. It looks like it will have a very large learning curve which means less people will play it. For bonuses, I think you should focus more on Iraqi Kurdistan, the Shia south, Sunni central, and various hotspots that are their own bonuses (Kirkuk, Baghdad, Mosul, etc.)
well, actually, I'm sure you really hope the war is over before the map is playable.mibi wrote:hopefully this map will be in play before the war ends, but you never know around here.

i know, sorry i've been real busy with other stuff.yeti_c wrote:Mibi - I think you need to provide links to the latest images... especially the latest small map - as I've not seen that anywhere since your last changes!?

your monitor needs to be calibrated. http://www.drycreekphoto.com/Learn/moni ... ration.htmTaCktiX wrote:Small nitpick: the shadow near the Baghdad bonuses (Mahdi area, Baathist region) almost completely obscures the color of the Baathist region. I'm still able to infer based on the text color, but the circle itself is too dark.
It's more of a general time period but I suppose focused on the earlier 2003-4 era due to the presence of Baathist. I wanted the Baathist in there to act as a weak and less powerful loyalty. They also have a low resistance which fits well with the reality of the situation.hunnybunny wrote:I understand that you can't always change the game based on an everchanging landscape...but I do have one question: what time period are you hoping to convey? 2003? 2007?
Personally, I think you should just ditch the Baathists since there not really in play anymore (almost all of them that are left are now in Syria). In place of the Baathists just put Sunnis or if you want to be more specific Tawafuq or Sons of Iraq...I say you use Sunni since most people understand what a Sunni is.

Since it is my opinion that the US military will never leave iraq, i vote yes.Incandenza wrote:mibi, you should start a new poll:
Will this map get quenched before the US military leaves Iraq?
Yes
No

I checked it yesterday. There was only 1 small mistake. In the legend it says that you get +3 for each 2 al-Qaeda cities, and in the XML there is +3 for each 3 al-qaeda cities.AndyDufresne wrote:Forza just needs to do a check on this I believe.

I checked the fix. Didn't check the rest again, as I assume you didn't make any other changes then the al-Qaeda fix.yeti_c wrote:OK - I have fixed that to have just 2 territories required...

Agreed - no other changes - just those continents.Forza AZ wrote:I checked the fix. Didn't check the rest again, as I assume you didn't make any other changes then the al-Qaeda fix.yeti_c wrote:OK - I have fixed that to have just 2 territories required...

So the XML should be correct now.
