Well, by the time the next one comes out, it will be a 25 year old playing a 17 year old. They somewhat pulled it off in Grease, but that was the youngest, John Travolta. All the rest were older and you could tell they were.autoload wrote:In the grand scheme of things that is not a big stretch.muy_thaiguy wrote:Shawshank was indeed a good movie, which is a rarity when they make movies based off of a book. Like Eragon, another travesty of a movie adapted from a good book series. LOTR was good, and so far the Chronicles of Narnia have been good as well. For the Harry Potter movies, I feel indifferent towards. Some were good, but now it is hard to take a movie seriously when a 20 year old is supposed to be portraying a 16-17 year old.
Agree on LOTR, have not read the Eragon books, only saw the first Chronicles or Narnia movie and thought it was decent. Harry Potter the movies have yet to live up to the books.muy_thaiguy wrote:Shawshank was indeed a good movie, which is a rarity when they make movies based off of a book. I've been thinking and it might be easier for S4945ru34873 to just start with $ every time and B495854858485 to just start with & every time that would be easier to remember.autoload wrote:Be sure to put those on each new page so we don't have to go on digging for them each time we need to.strike wolf wrote:But if I didn't mention it everyone would think I was talking about something else and I'd have to clear it up. bout similar in length top speed 95. duration a little shorter but not very noticeable. 80 degree vert. max drop I believe is 260. So yeah your coasters beat it.autoload wrote:Try these stats:strike wolf wrote:Does Millennium Force have a 200+ ft drop?autoload wrote:Both your guys' parks would bow down and lick Millennium Force's balls.
Length: 6595'
Height: 310'
Drop: 300'
Inversions: 0
Speed: 93 mph
Duration: 2:20
Max Vertical Angle: 80 Degrees
Hell, even the lift hill is at a steeper angle than a lot of coasters.

Also, Cedar point has 3 coasters with over a 200 foot drop. Millenium Force, Magnum XL 200 which was the first coaster to break the 200 foot mark and Top Thrill Dragster which is over 400 feet.

A 24 year old once played a 13 year old on one of the tv shows I watched as a kid.autoload wrote:In the grand scheme of things that is not a big stretch.muy_thaiguy wrote:Shawshank was indeed a good movie, which is a rarity when they make movies based off of a book. I like Avatar. It's definitely a good series though if I think you'll probaably end up disappointed even if you find a similar show.muy_thaiguy wrote:You know, I finished watching the Avatar series recently and was wholly impressed with it, especially considering that the original plot line is one of the few that truly captured my attention. The style of the artwork, though based heavily off of Japanese anime, was actually originally done in the States, and the voice acting was pretty good as well. I am now at that point trying to find any other series that are similar to it, but am having crappy luck. So I'm thinking about just re-watching the series.

True. Though it did leave off with one cliffhanger, where Zuko asks his father where his mother was. Though, they need to make The Book of Air just so that they have all four elements. Doubtful, but I can always dream, can't I? As for the movie that is coming out, it looks like that is going to be another series, one movie per book. A bit of a squeeze, but looks doable.strike wolf wrote:I like Avatar. It might work. I am definitely looking forward to them showing Zuko's quest to find his mother and it would great if they make a book of Air. I think it would probably be a prequel to the other books of course.muy_thaiguy wrote:True. Though it did leave off with one cliffhanger, where Zuko asks his father where his mother was. No, I don't.Skittles! wrote:My toast just tasted like vegemite. However, I did not have any vegemite on my toast, only butter. This is a strange thing.
Do you guys even know what vegemite is?
I was hoping to see that movie soon.strike wolf wrote:Ok so I have officially seen the new Harry Potter movie and i am...
Not overly impressed.
It was a decent movie but could have definitely benefitted from proper editting. Too much non-essential scenes not enough of the action and plot that occured in the book. overall superior to most of the movies but well inferior to the 5th movie. My biggest problem was how they cut the end fight so short. It was much grander and better in the book.
Well before my time.targetman377 wrote:strike wolf wrote:In 1989 I would have been a little baby wolf.Quirk wrote:Now to celebrate by reposting the first picture I posted in this thread.
