That is correct freakns. I am tentatively planning on games being sent for everyone the week of March 15. Meaning the games don't have to start until March 20th or later.

Anyone want to start a bracket challenge before the play-in games start? Everyone fill out a bracket and see who is closest to being rihgt?

I need someone else to maintain these if so. But I think it would be a lot of fun.

A lot of light-hearted banter has cluttered this thread somewhat, nevertheless there are a number of important considerations that need to be established before this kicks off:

- cup tied players and whether you'll implement this rule

- what happens if a clan can't meet its obligation to play and withdraws once we've progressed into the tourney proper? Do you hand their challenger a bye or do you let through the team that they previously beat (the latter being fairer/preferable to giving byes imo)

- what happens if a clan is in breach of any of the rules re map & player quotas? Is the 16th and subsequent game(s) that the same player joined forfeited? Is the extra map game forfeited? Will that forfeited game count towards a participating player's quota?

- what are the penalties for delay in setting-up or joining games?

Sorry mate...loads of questions - and I'm sure I could conjure up a few more if I thought about it for a while - but it's better to get these things sorted before we start than to argue over them should any such eventuality arise during the competition.

Cup tied players will be in effect. I will add this shortly to the first post.

Depends on the timing of a clan dropping. If they start a challenge then quit participating then I would follow the same rules as them "holding up the challenge" and make them forfeit 1 game at a time until the other clan wins, which means they basically forfeit that round.

If they decide to quit before starting a round, then yes, the clan from the previous round will be given the oppurtunity to move on.

If a clan breaks the map rule, then this should be pointed out before the game starts by the opposing clan and that clan will be asked to change one of their games. If it isn't noticed until after the games are started then the extra map game will be forfeited. The extra map game will be determined by the last game started according to the game log.

I have already answered the question about the player quotas in the first post. If a player exceeds the quotas, then their clan will forfeit ALL games that player participated in that clan war. This is a big rule. It will be nearly impossible to win for a clan that does this so DON'T break the rule!

This was also answered already in the first post. Each clan will get 1 warning for being 1 day late (only 1 warning in the entire tournament). Every day late after that the clan in violation will forfeit 1 game per day late. The opposing clan will pick the game that is forfeited from the batch of games in question. For example, if EMPIRE is late in sending our home games to Mythology by 2 days, then once we send our home games, Mythology gets to pick 2 of them that we forfeit from OUR home games. If we are late in joining their home games by 2 days, then they get to pick 2 games we forfeit from THEIR home games. Both examples are assuming we have already been warned once.
