Sorry guys. I forgot about this on friday and then my power was out all of yesterday. Writing the scene now.

Judge Turpin and Mrs. Lovett argued back and forth in the town square. The two of them were in a deadlock and no one else in town was willing to take sides. Mrs. Lovett accused a lawyer of being the killer, while Turpin accused her. In the end, Turpin's influence with the town won out and they dragged the Pie-shoppe owner to the gallows.

Pies!
Judge Turpin made cold pies (from his cold heart). This made everyone angry and bloodthirsty, granting them two votes during the day.

Johanna Made sweet pies which make you innocent under investigation

Anthony hope made warm pies which take away your vote

Pirelli made cheesy pies which makes you guilty under investigation

Lucy made hallucinogenic pies which makes your Night action hit a random target

The lawyer made pricey pies which makes you unable to buy pies the following morning

The royal marine made clean pies which make you bulletproof that night

The actor made overdone pies which make you sick and roleblock you that night.


Originally, my setup for this game was just Sweeney Todd and Nellie lovett as mafia with all of the characters from the song "A little priest" making up the town. All of their pies were the flavors of the song. Eventually I changed the game (because I figured people would want the actual characters in the game) but the Royal Marine, the Lawyer, and the Actor all remained from the first setup.

Edocsil kills yoshi
Safariguy investigates edocsil (gets scum)
shaggy protects safariguy
yoshi watches saf

Night 2
Violet tries to kill haggis
Shaggy randomly targets haggis
Safariguy investigates saxlad (investigation fails due to saxlads ability)

Night 3
Violet tries to kill Commander (but he is bulletproof)
Safariguy investigates jonty (recieves town, loses investigation abilities)
Shaggy protects safariguy

Night 4
Violet kills naxus
Commander dies due to lover connection

And on an aside, doesn't that make me like 3-0 in your games. Maybe we just think on the same wavelength.

Edoc, you played decently townish until you made me straight claim. Given your fakeclaim being the Beadle, if you were really town, you should have known who I was especially since Yoshi basically spelled it out.

Sax, nice try with the fakeclaim, but not sure how successful that would have been.

Vio, I just couldn't see how Haggis would have thrown the other two members of mafia under the bus and then expected to win.

If we had No Lynched, I figured I could have deduced who was the last mafia member depending on who they kill.

It was me and Haggis voting for Vio and jonty undecided. If Haggis was the last mafia member, he probably would have killed jonty, because he and I would have lynched Vio no problem (in which case I would have said so and then turned on him possibly).

If Vio was the last mafia player, she would have had to kill me and try to convince jonty to vote Haggis as well.

But good game everyone, fun theme, and I told you to stay away from the pies, mafia nearly pulled it out.

phew, would have hated myself if we lost because i chose to eat a pie...

Interesting mechanic with the pies, I figured since I was a VT odds were better the pies would help me rather than hurt me, didn't really work out ...

pretty nice game, the claims certainly added some confusion, also was fun rewatching some of the scenes from the movie, it actually made me rewatch the whole movie as well.

I played poorly this game. Though I was innocent on investigation and would render your investigation null Saf. I was obviously quite wrong and it cost my side greatly.

Ah well!! It was fun squirrel!! One of my best runs as mafia- but I made quite a few mistakes along the way, which cost me in the end. Had i been able to NK just one more person, I might have made it. My fault for not paying attention, that commander was bulletproof

Also, side note: epic random kill and save on night 2. Booyah! Even when tripping balls I can still doc.

Saxlad was a mafia goon but investigations failed against him. I gave him the pirelli fakeclaim as well as the priest VT fakeclaim (he could pick what he wanted to do). He decided to go for the pirelli connection and violet took the priest claim.

Did you give the priest fakeclaim as just "Priest" or "London Priest" as Vio stated, because that was one of the things that tipped me off that Vio was probably the fakeclaimer.

Kinda like X-Men where I just had to find the obscure ones to lynch.

Thanks Com9, I knew early on that my character had little value unless I could narrow down the list of possible scum members as early as possible, but I at least knew who was town and who was mafia (could have been set up either way looking at the plot of the play/movie). So I decided to play it aggressive early and see if I couldn't figure out likely scum candidates. Town was in trouble at then end after lynching the doc (sorry Shaggy) and two townies eating pies (I did warn against screwing around with those things guys), but I let the role dictate my play a bit more this game than usual.

Ionno Shaggy, I really think you should have claimed the full miller doctor role, at least then we could have waited for some night actions and a quick test of your role the next night.

If you were alive, obviously protecting the lovers and letting Lovett kill me would have been ideal as I had lost investigative powers at that point anyways. I'm pretty sure town could have handled it from there.

Yep victor is right. He also had a vig ability where he could kill the person he roleblocked the previous night. I didn't expect it to get used, but I thought giving the player the option was good, especially since this game was short on town power roles.

He gave me London Priest. I thought it was great fake. But that was definitely good thinking on saf's part.
