This idea is amazing from start to finish. Some aspect if not all should be incorporated to future upgrades
Conquer Club, a free online multiplayer variation of a popular world domination board game.

But then Duality. Wouldn't have to buy prem for his multies to play speed games...jammyjames wrote:i vote free speed for a week.. then they would have a nice insight to stay and get premium
Very valid pointTheForgivenOne wrote:But then Duality. Wouldn't have to buy prem for his multies to play speed games...jammyjames wrote:i vote free speed for a week.. then they would have a nice insight to stay and get premium
I will not amend the suggestion to provide free premium nor free speed for one week. If anything, it will be for one or two free speed games here or there.TheForgivenOne wrote:But yeah, i don't like this idea for Prem for a week, as it may encourage players to create a ton of multi's just to keep playing speed for free
Don't they already get this? You know, the Halloween Speeds, the speeds on St. paddy's, and most recently with the World Cup?Queen_Herpes wrote:I will not amend the suggestion to provide free premium nor free speed for one week. What has been discussed recently (Doc_Brown and others...) is that players would receive an individual speed game as a "reward." Lackattack has awarded these in the past for one reason or another. I don' tknow how they work, but they are different from the holiday free speeds for freemiums.TheForgivenOne wrote:Don't they already get this? The purpose of awarding them one speed game when they open their account is to keep them interested in the site and give them a taste on their first visit. As individuals browsing the site won't necessarily join the site on a weekend when free speed games are available, this aspect of this suggestion (giving a free speed game here and there) will hit the players at anytime on any day and hopefully keep them on the site for more than the first visit.TheForgivenOne wrote:Well, they already get a taste of Speed Games, so i don't see a reason as to why give them more. They can create a lot during these events, so i don't see why an individual one here and there would be all that great.

So what do you think about the current limitation of 5 games? Shoudl it be reduced, removed, or extended?Bruceswar wrote:Queen_Herpes wrote:What does everyone think about limiting new recruits for 16 games instead of 5?
Free range is better
Still strongly opposed. People don't leave the site because there are too many options. They may leave if they feel like they can't win, but if they can't win in the first 5, they're not likely to pick up a great deal in 16 games either. Optional restrictions that the new player can remove at any time (after the first 5 games) if and when he feels ready would be fine.Queen_Herpes wrote:What does everyone think about limiting new recruits for 16 games instead of 5?
I think the current limitation works well and should be left as-is.Queen_Herpes wrote: So what do you think about the current limitation of 5 games? Shoudl it be reduced, removed, or extended?
That seems contrary to some of your other posts.Doc_Brown wrote:I think the current limitation works well and should be left as-is.Queen_Herpes wrote: So what do you think about the current limitation of 5 games? Shoudl it be reduced, removed, or extended?
Actually, I'm approaching this issue from both sides. If your suggest ends up going through, I want it to be in the most palatable form possible, though I oppose extending restrictions as a whole. In an ideal world, I'd like to think that restrictions up to 5 games aren't needed, but the truth is, people sign up, join games, and then never come back. The current situation limits the damage somewhat as well as giving people a suitable breaking-in period.Queen_Herpes wrote:That seems contrary to some of your other posts.Doc_Brown wrote:I think the current limitation works well and should be left as-is.Queen_Herpes wrote: So what do you think about the current limitation of 5 games? This is not what this suggestion is about.alex951 wrote:I don't like he idea of New Recruits being able to join 16 game because that means more dead beating. The four game limit is sufficient to introduce the site
New recruits can still only play 4 games at a time with a freemium membership.alex951 wrote:I don't like he idea of New Recruits being able to join 16 game because that means more dead beating. The four game limit is sufficient to introduce the site
