Re: Soundman's First Mafia [10/14] Day Three

Post by edocsil »

TeeGee and VS link was another poorly thought out conclusion. It is incredibly common for a Mafia to "buddy" with a townie so as to provide themselves with a defense in the case that the townie dies before the scum.

You could also argue that it would be foolish to protect the watcher because the scum wouldn't target the person who the doc was obviously going to protect.

Predicting a Scum's Move is all WIFOM and it is all better left unsaid.

Edoc, I COULD support you in this. Can you give us some quotes? Also, you know that we were about to lynch you, so if you are too far off base here, it will likely result in your lynch tomorrow, right? Just a fair warning that you have a lot of ground to recover as a replacement.

I could support it, but I would have to go digging into old game records. I know I've done it as mafia, but I'm not sure in what game.

As far as my hanging goes, I am not even remotely worried about it. As I said usAir disappeared from the site altogether, there literally is not even a remote case against me. They pressure got what you wanted, a replacement. Now that you have it the pressure will go away.

Edoc, the pressure is NOT even REMOTELY gone. You may be at L-2, IDK, but seriously, give me some good reasons for this case. Quotes and shit. You can't get the votes off of you because you are a replacement UNLESS you make a really good case against MoB. I am open-minded, just give me something to work with here...

I don't really think it's better left unsaid. Even if it's all WIFOM, it's good to talk about what scum might or might do because of noobs holding power roles. It let's them know how a scum might think.

But then the scum know that you know, that they know..... and so on and on it goes. That IS the definition of WIFOM.

WIFOM is no excuse for allowing and/or accepting nooby mistakes and/or not being carefull. even if it's highly wifom, it's good to try to think like they do.

edoc i do agree with what your saying about mob
So in short, I vote for MoB for being an overcautious scum who tried to hard to avoid all suspicion, and therefore has triggered my suspicions (God this sounds like WIFOM)
but you still have not given a reason to not vote for yourself even though the general has asked you a couple of times now

The General asks for what he isn't going to get. I am NEVER going to be lynched for inactivity. He is the only vote for me at the moment, so I am certainly in no need of a claim.

The mod edited a post...should he be mod-killed? Hmm...

Anyways, general, there is no way you can still expect edoc to claim because the person he replaced was inactive. That's ridiculous. Replacements of inactives, don't deserve to be pressured. If they replace someone that was being actively scummy, that's understandable, but this? No.

I am not really sure about MoB. Maybe if we heard from him...

I am here and defended myself. If you had any more questions or any other points you wanted to debate against me I am all for it. But I am getting feelings that it is just a successful squirm by someone scummy. I am probably biased though because his attention is on me

To be honest, I don't even remember my roles during the day. When night time gets here, I go and look at the Mafia folder of my inbox and see if I have a night action... I'm in too many games. I'm gonna go check and see what I am.

I have checked and I am not a squirmy scum...or any other scum for that matter. :)

Oh, I see.

That may be true. But I don't think we can really pressure him because the guy he replaced was inactive. Doesn't really fit.
