The complaint threads are in my view a large amount of the fun that is going to be had. I strongly support your 11 month establishment of stuff endeavors.

I mean, even in this thread, snorri and GabonX are fighting over whether GabonX is racist and/or stupid and whether snorri dismisses peoples' arguments out of hand.

I'm definitely going to do this, if only to entertain myself. I just hope people will actually vote. I also hope people will vote for someone other than King Herpes and owenshooter.

..Anyhow..I'm gonna win so many Greekies it's not even funny. You should make a Greekie award for most Greekies won so that I can win that one too :D
You do realize Snorri's not gonna read that right?

I say go for it, greekdog. It'll be fun to see what happens, no matter what.

And the truth is, I'll be really impressed if you see this through to completion... given how this sort of thing has died in the water every other time I've seen it attempted by a message board in the past.

I want to do the nominations for THIS YEAR (2009) the following week.

Then we'll have the votes and tally and all that.

So, let's keep it to calendar year 2009 (i.e. January 1, 2009 through November X, 2009).

Thanks.
What about december?
We all have to shut up in December.
What about a "least likely to shut up in December" award?

You are forgetting my "most respected poster" thread and my "favorite mod" thread too! Those ones sure did crush some hearts.

As I recall, most "greatestest poster ever" threads tend to end up as circle jerks.

with that in mind, some more ideas:

most banned
achievements in race-baiting
best set design
JoeBeevers Memorial Award for ridiculous self-promotion
best taint

Saving up your good posts for the end-of-year ratings burst, are you?

EDIT: I just realized that sounds as if I'm saying you don't normally make good posts...that is NOT what I meant. <chuckle>

Terribly sorry old chap, shall not attempt weak humour again. So sorry to have riled you, what was it about my innocuous post that upset you? Shouldn't you be posting drivel in a long thread or something?
