That movie should not be allowed to see the light of day...ever!
In other news, I think Iron Man 2 looks good and i think you left off clash of the Titans.
Yes on both points, but I didn't leave it off deliberately. Clash of the Titans may well have the worst tagline in history:
Clash of the Titans: Titans will clash
Makes me laugh out loud every time. But not because it's funny in a good way. <grin>
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.

Fucking bullshit.
Nah- it was a re-branding. The franchise was much more successful after that.
Do you mean the Roman names are more well-known? Or the Greek names gained more popularity after the "re-branding."
Well, once you get your brand name attached to a planet, I'd say you've done well.
I'd argue the planet names are more old-fashioned in the popularity they illustrate, and that most all the Greek names are more popular than the Roman ones.

Lock Stock?
Bend it like Beckham ?
Brassed off?
Trainspotters?
No remakes, no sequels. Just good original films made on a small budget, no special effects.
Special effects nowadays leave me cold. You can make a computer generated dog cheaper than to train a dog.
Er.. trainspotting was an adaptation of the Irvine Walsh book and the sequel Porno might eventually be made.
I think everyone is agreed with the premise though that sequels on the whole suck, sure theres a few good sequels out there (Aliens, Godfather II) but the majority of them are pieces of shit designed to make money from fan boys rather than being clever in any way.

This is pretty much what I think. I'm more bothered by pointless remakes and adaptations. Movies that do nothing but cash in on the popularity of something else. Pointless was kind of the keyword when I wrote the OP.
