I don't have a top 5 because there are so many players in the tournaments who deserve to be named but there's one guy who really deserves mentioning and it's ZionT. Reaching brigadier and just by (mostly) playing tournament games, this is awesome. Plus, he has a great personality and attitude towards the game.

Geez ZZ's, way to make a guy blush. Lost brigs, but I still heart you. That being said, outside of my new clannies at G1, my top 5 respected player list has to start with the players who have kicked my butt more times than I can count in these tourneys:

Ben was the man, it was a sad say when he left the site. I learned a ton playing against him, and he was always generous answering my waterloo questions. One of the top two or three strategic minds to ever tread the boards here. Altho maybe it's better he left, I can't think of a more terrifying dubs team than ben and rabbiton.

"Respect" is a hard word, because, in truth, what makes me respect a player has a lot more to do with manners and attitude about their play than actual skill.

However, given the limitation of skill, here is a stab. I used to play so many people, I could hardly keep track of their names, never mind remember them. So, I am no doubt missing quite a few.

However, I concur with earlier votes for Johnyrocket. Blitzaholic also has to be up there.

Easily the most underrated player on the site. I think the only people who really appreciate how good Peter is are the few who have watched him work in team games and taken the time to recognize the type of insight he brings to games. Not only that but 80% of his chats or forum posts are comedic gold.

General Mojo
General Mojo knows his shit. Although we bitched at each other quite a bit in DRS he also is someone who is not only extremely talented game-wise but has contributed to some of the most hilarious bits known to CC. Ask GrimReaper who he dislikes most on the site and he'd probably say Mojo and that's a great compliment.

Dancing Mustard
Not one to venture in many games, but the kid paid for premium and then recognized how ridiculous some kids took this site and stopped playing games and became the king of Flame Wars. Our collaboration with Owenshooter re: the Pinja's was excellent and this kid was lethal with his words for those foolish enough to trade barbs with him.

Jakewilliams
One of the nicest, most genuine people on CC. The antithesis of the most notorious (and infamous) players on the site. When I came back to CC after my year+ long absence, it was teaming with Jake that made the game seem fun again because it was lighthearted but smart.

You are correct on the thread where it is the top 5 most respected, which does not necessarily reflect the top 5 best, seems like several of us made a few categories though, some of each, what some have done for the CC site and paying their respects, and what others have accomplished to raise skill intensity and competition to strive for the best.

Realize I didnt post who i respected most earlier, my bad...

Jpcloet - A little bias being in clan, ill admit, but he puts SO MUCH outside work into this site that people dont realize, especially for clans, that i get to hear about on a regular basis and figure where he finds the time. Manages the clan basically flawless by himself (im the co-leader for show... ) and doesnt take the game too serious but still finds ways to win.

vykingsfan64 - Not one of the household games of CC, but played him several times, including tournaments where he's a monster... Why hasnt G1 picked him up yet? Plays well above his rank and is always a friendly chat.

jakewilliams/jpeter15 - Had to put them together because they were my opponents in probably the best game ive ever played on CC, Game 6526924. An absolute showing of strategy and class that wasnt decided until about the late teen rounds. Entire map was 1's and 2's at one point, and it was a back and forth battle i wont soon forget.

Greatwhite - Player that when i first joined the site seemed like a god to me, might have caught him in rank but still hold him as a better player than I. Doesnt do anything fancy, sticks to what he knows, and is one of those players that doesnt need a gamechat to make a team strategy.

Incandenza - Remember when we used to post back and forth in the sports trivia thread, seemed like it was us two with maybe one or two others for a couple months... Solid player, throws in his "nuggets" of humor or common sense at just the right time, and sports one hell of a moustache...

Forgot alot of others, you're all up there. Also an honorable mention to my friend Blitz, but figured he was on enough lists and could use some help bringing his ego back down to Earth...

DJoach (funny, good friend, communicates well & great teammate)
Blitzaholic (best player on cc I think, see stats: most medals, conqueror for longest time, most tourney titles, now map maker, great help for cc thota director which is most competitive clan...... etc)
Big Whiskey (best teammate, best coach)
Dj Teflon (my escalating dream)
Waxy (noob & cook forever, but best student there is I love people who likes to learn this game & have fun, listen well to advice)
