I lost 14 to 3 the other day, also ended up not even getting the card because the 3 knocked me all the way down to 1.
I ended up winning the game though, so I'm not too upset about.
streaky dice

It's happening again...
Every couple of weeks or so, the dice get REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY streaky.
For example: I place 21 armies on top of 12 (that's 33 for those of you who think the dice are fine.) I try to take one country with ONE army on it.
We'll call this the Battle of Thermopylae... and I loose everything.
So, pissed off and frustrated, on my next turn, I place 21 more armies on my last remaining force there. So now I attack with 22 against ONE.
We'll call this the battle of Thermopylae... again... and I loose everything - AGAIN.
So, my opponent recognizes the lack of reinforcements around the board, and wipes one of my conties away... with SIX armies. Six against 15. Now, I've lost 5 armies per turn.
So, pissed off and frustrated, I drop 16 armies somewhere on the board, and try to regain some dignity. 16 against ONE, and I loose everything AGAIN.
We'll call this the battle of thermopylae AGAIN.
Hang on... wait a minute here...
HOW MANY BATTLES OF THERMOPYLAE ARE THERE IN HISTORY?
WHY DO I SEE 8 - 12 OF THEM IN EVERY GAME I PLAY ON THIS SITE?

33 against one???
are you sure??
the odds of that are very slim
and to lose 33vs1 22vs1 and 16vs1 in a row seems really really unprobable.
that's 68 lost armies without a single injury to the enemy. if that ever happens to me i quit conquer club and become a math guru to prove the dice aren't random on this site.
i think the chance of losing 68 armies in 3vs1dice are one in millions of years.
the good part is none of us will live to see this happen again so thanks for taking this bad luck on your shoulders

But not impossible.
I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to take a break from this site because the dice are too fucking streaky.
The die I'm rolling the least is 6's, and the defender is rolling the most in 5's and 6's. It's bullshit.
I've rolled 2% less 3v1's than ideal, and 4% more losses on 3v2's than ideal. More fucking bullshit.
Too damn streaky.
And now I just watched the defender roll double 6's twice in a row. I've seen double 6's enough times in the last week to tell random.org to go to hell.

I agree - my dice seems to jump between incredibly fantastically good (killing 17 with 24 and keeping 20) and incredibly bad (Where I lose 7 on 1, 17 on 7, etc.)
According to the dice analyzer I lose from 0.5 percent to 6 percent more than I should in every single category

I think we should compare our dice analyzer stats to see if everyone's is this far from the average...

I have been playing Risk for 30+ years and never, ever lost that bad.
Has anyone lost worse than that?
and how is that possible?
I would imagine that you might get hit by lightening 3 times before your dice roll like that.
I guess I better stay in when its raining.

whens the last time you had 15 or 20 real games going on at once, and I dont care how much youve played in real life...you havent thrown 200000 dice in the matter of a year....in here you have.... you're once again comparing a small example against a massively larger one
Ive played cards for much longer than 30 years....however, when I play on poker sites, i see hands I almost never see... and thats just playing one game at a time...
Ive played real risk for hours too, many games... but in here, ive had over 100 going at once, played 70 moves in a row... and probably have more than 50000 armies currently.. and have already thrown nearly 300000 dice.... to compare this to even playing one game of risk every other day for ten years would be foolish... Id still have played more in here....and im almost certain i wouldnt be attacking with thousands of dice at a time...
apples and oranges is all there is too it... the more you play, the more interesting rolls you'll see
20 vs 3 is ten bad rolls in a row, where the defender wins ties, and can lose once or even twice and still survive... its not going to happen every time, but it is sure as hell going to happen occasionally but if you play the same number of games at home, as you do in here, it will happen eventually possibly even tomorrow
ive been walking for 30 years, and not once have I been hit by lightning.... but if I do, ill believe its possible even though its as unlucky as hell...

My prefered strategy is to just mail large envelopes of cash to the home addresses of the members of Mod Team.

Im not questioning you here, but is it possible this was a freestyle game, and your opponent dropped his armies before you attacked him which is why you lost... it does happen...and again, im not questioning you, but it is a common mistake... ive never lost more than 10 or so to a one, and I play a lot...
again....just making sure

well, im going to assume it was freestyle... the other guy was deploying just after him, stopped his every attack, and beat him to the jump on the next turn and cut through him...
