Just seeing this, but it was already handled via PM. I answered by saying the site rules apply. No special rules for the tournament other than what's laid out in the initial post in this thread.
Just for your information, this question was raised in another tourney and we were told by "officials" that truces in a tourney are unethical.

We've apparently had a few dropouts, everyone. I am swamped at work but I will fix all this and make sure the tournament continues. It will take a bit of work, but it won't be a problem. Stand-by and thanks for your patience.

Ok, first things first. My apologies for the delays with this tournament. It's no excuse, but for the first time in a long time work has really swamped me. That's the reason I haven't started new Initechs and it's the reason this one has fell behind. My sincere apologies for that. Now, down to business.

1) The Americas group is fine. We are just waiting for some standard games to finish. AFTER I take care of the other groups, I will canvass those games and see if they are hopelessly deadlocked. If they are, we will make tiebreaking arrangements.

2) The Europe group hinges on General Flashman. If he re-ups to premium, we are fine. If he does not, I will need to make adjustments.

3) There were three deadbeats in the ROTW group before the assassin games. I issued multiple calls, so we're going forward with 9 players. Since 7 of the games already occurred, this gets complicated. What I'm going to do is make sure each player has 3 assassin games total (instead of the 4 in other groups). So, Risk_Averse, dowian2, mickunited, merch313 and adam666 are complete. I will create additional games now to balance everything out.

Will be back soon to deal with the Europe group. For now, please PM me any questions. Thank you for your patience.

Update...

1) The qualifiers from The Americas Group are determined. There are 3 standard games remaining, but no matter how the points shake out, the two qualifiers won't change. As such, the players in those games are free to arrange tiebreakers on their own.

2) The European Group is in bad shape. Everything is contingent on General Flashman, who refuses to respond to inquiries. If he's not heard from within the next week, I'm going to have to get creative and make arrangements. The most LIKELY scenario is eliminating the two lowest current scorers and getting the group down to 9 (assuming those two lowest scorers are mathematically eliminated). We can then progress from there. I hope it does not come to that. But an 11-person group won't work for the assassin games.

3) The ROTW Group is completed with no issues. The two qualifiers are determined.

Thanks. Updated. I really think I'm going to have to go with the 9-person Europe group. It's very unfair to ZionT and evilkingjay, but they would need to go 4 of 4 in the assassin games and they still might not advance. I can't think of other solutions, but I'm open to them if anyone else has them.

It is decided.

General Flashman is eliminated and banned from the tournament for being unresponsive. I had no other choice.

As such, ZionT and evilkingjay are also removed from the Europe group. It was almost mathematically impossible for them to advance anyway. So while I apologize to them for this amendment, it's the most fair to all involved.

The assassin games for Europe group will be sent today. Once they are finished, we will be ready to start the Final Group.

Standard games are sent. I must say it's a murderer's row of finalists... all at least majors at the commencing of the group.

I will send terminator maps once we finalize the 3rd selection. As has been policy, assassin maps will be delayed until terminator maps are finished.

Players - it just dawned on me that the assassin games for the final round are 6-player matches and not the 3-player versions like we saw in the first round. As such, they could take awhile and there's no point in me holding them back. I will be creating and sending soon. Good luck.

A lot of us have found that most of the games are stalemated pretty much. Would it be acceptable to you as the TO if we played some tiebreakers?

UPDATED

Indian Empire is entering a 9-point assassin tiebreak.

High Seas has entered a second tiebreak, this one consisting of a series of three 1 v 1 games. Winner gets all 15 points.

When those two conclude, we can address World 2.1 and Land and Sea.

Believe it or not, with dowian2 seeming to win the High Seas tiebreaker (that will be confirmed in one round), I think the tournament is over.

mzomboracz001 would need 30 points to catch him... he can only score 15 (Land & Sea)

Leehar would need 40 points to catch him... he can only score 39 (Land & Sea, World 2.1, Indian Empire).

The three other players are clearly eliminated. I will wait on the High Seas tiebreak to finish, but I think we finally have a resolution here.

After over a year, including about 8 months of the most competitive final group I've seen, including way too many tiebreakers... dowian2 is the Champion of Initech XXII: World League!

Thanks so much to all who participated and thanks especially to those who endured an arduous Final Group. I'll say it again: if the final 6 players weren't so good, this wouldn't have been as difficult to conclude as it was. Thanks again and congrats, once again, to dowian2!
