The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
AC/DC
Rush
OK, maybe that wasn't too clear
Let me re-write that:
I can't believe all the young upstart pretender bands that have been mentioned, like Arctic Monkeys etcA band has to have a history before it can be classed as a great.
My nominations are:
Iron Maiden
The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
AC/DC
Rush
Hope that clears things up a bit

Every member of Led Zeppelin is more musically proficient than their counterpart in The Rolling Stones. With John Bonham being one of the greatest and most influential rock drummers ever. It sounds like you have only listened to Stairway to Heaven...I honestly don't even like that song too much and I prefer their first two albums.Aradhus wrote:What strange, strange people. Led Zeppelin are somewhat overrated. I blame that on the magnificence of "Stairway to Heaven".
Anyway, I'll start with the three obvious choices.
Pink Floyd
The Doors
Radiohead
The last two are tricky slots to fill as there are many great bands, but I think I will go with an honest approach and pick genius talent over personal preference.
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
These are the five greatest, most original bands to have graced this earth. Blessed with natural talent and musical proficiency, to pure music aficionado's, with understanding of genius, there hasn't been better than this.
