Was talking to the op, not you.
I'm not the original poster. Stop dragging me into this and apologize for calling me a whore.

Given how ~5% of Florida shuffles the mortal coil each week, you're probably ok just walking into the average house.

It was a short thread, but it had its moments.

You should travel. You know... outside of the states, some interesting places out there. Without a Starbucks on sight as well.

Starbucks has locations in 63 countries including most of Europe and north America.
Basically every "first world" or industrialized nation has them.
Dublin has over 30 just for example.
If avoiding Starbucks is your goal roughly 30 percent of the world is off limits.

i guess that in terms of km² that represents 50% of the world though. you are leaving 2/3ds of the countries out and probably a few big ones.

Well as far as the percentage of countries that have Starbucks by square kilometers im sure it is closer to 50 percent but that's too much math for me at the moment.
Also Starbucks customers are not exactly who you expect to see traveling to places that do not have Starbucks.
I mean can you see 16 year old privileged white girls ordering frappuccinos in Kenya?
Or yuppy assholes with khakis and a "salmon" tie feeling like they need a fucking smoothie and a piece of gluten-free pumpkin bread for lunch in Myanmar?
Not too say these are impossible but there's certainly not much of a market presence for over-priced swill outside of economically developed nations that can spend money on atmosphere and buy themselves a small bit of social status.
Despite the fact that any dirt poor Columbian drinks better coffee, douche bags the world over think Starbucks makes them better than those with inferior beverages.
Kinda depressing really.

Starbucks coffee blows. It always tastes burnt to me. I prefer homemade if I'm going to drink coffee at all.
