To my knowledge, about halfway around round 1, somebody's game got corrupted and it's messed things up. If it doesn't fix itself, I'll do my best to fix it manually.Butters1919 wrote:Why is there one player that is still waiting to advance from round 1? Did they start the Cup without the proper number of players?
nope. your format was just not valid.525 players, round 1 with 5 player games round 2 with 4 player games, had to be 524 players round 2. that guy will probably have to suck it up... also this is going to be all messed up with 524; divided by 4 is 131 ect ect...rdsrds2120 wrote:To my knowledge, about halfway around round 1, somebody's game got corrupted and it's messed things up. BMO

525 players start 105 five-player games. The 105 winners advance to Round 3 where the 420 losers advance to Round 2 where they play 105 four-player games. Round 3 will have 210 players which does not set up for an even number of 4 player games. Don't see how that left the one player left over in Round 1 though.betiko wrote:nope. your format was just not valid.525 players, round 1 with 5 player games round 2 with 4 player games, had to be 524 players round 2. that guy will probably have to suck it up... also this is going to be all messed up with 524; divided by 4 is 131 ect ect...
you're going to face some massive problems for starting the tournament with 525 players.. you need to create games for losers to make them back in the tournament.
well, given that all round 1 players advance to a 4 player game (round 2 or round 3), 524 is the multiple and 525 leaves 1 behind!Butters1919 wrote:525 players start 105 five-player games. is it me?Butters1919 wrote:and now there is someone left over from Round 2...
consolation iPads maybe?!

Yes, I do have a plan! I had to wait to see how it played out first (who was left with what). I'll be sending PM's out shortly.Butters1919 wrote:So now that this tourney has ground to a complete halt, any suggestions on how to rectify the problem?
That the system was programmed to auto-include byes, as I was told it could!betiko wrote:The cc 5 is a joke. What will there be, 3 players for the final anyway? And each round players waiting for nothing. Maybe make a games with awaiting players and try to find a fair solution in numbers of game won for everyone. Seriously, what the hell were you guys thinking starting this with 525 players...

Who is the player with 0 wins? The waiter in round one has 1 win.
The waiter in round two is 1 & 1
According to your format there could be a possible 6th game, not 5
