You are correct. This tournament is NOT above the universal Rules of Conquer Club.mr. CD wrote:Great concept, definitely in!
Question: I suppose it's illegal to throw a game in any way? Let's say you'd rather throw a 4 than a 5, but you're looking good in 5 games, is there a possiblity to make sure you don't win 5?
By example, I'd much rather play AoR II than Feudal War.
I figured that any responsible player would be aware of this and didn't include a large segment in the Rules on this, as I don't mean to coddle and remind people of the Rules. As a result, even if you want to go out of your way and deny yourself points by intentionally losing, therefore hurting your position on the board (even in the hopes of presumably "regaining" a better position in the future), and therefore really contradicting and compromising the very reason you play Conquer Club, it won't be allowed.Any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games...
As with the Policy for Players Failing to Join Games and the tournament in general, I have the final say on all such instances, which I presume will be rare. Certainly, as a player it would be beneficial to alert me if you think "throwing games" and any such unsporting conduct that goes against the spirit of our game is taking place. However, I do keep track of all and review play in many of my tournaments' games anyway.Any form of violation of the Rules of Conquer Club found at http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=rules (including any approved withstanding rules, decisions, or judgments from the Multi Hunters and/or Cheating/Abuse Team) including, but not limited to, creating "multiple accounts", engaging in "secret diplomacy", "throwing games", and/or taking part in any form of collusion or actions taken to provide an unfair advantage to oneself, and/or to any other player in the tournament, that is against the spirit of sportsmanship may result in expulsion from the tournament. The organizer has full judgment in making these decisions...
Thank you loenatiek for reminding me of this possibility.
- In the event that all remaining players in the tournament are each on their own individual tile such that no two players are on the same exact tile, then all players will be placed into a grouping of players and play games on random maps, using the random setting.
